Container too small - plz advise

If a plant is in too small of a container, obviously the best solution is to transplant it... but what if it's already in flowering (3 weeks in), and in a coffee can so it might be difficult to "gently" transplant it?

Is it worth risking the stress and possibly ripping some roots in the process or should it simply suck it up and finish its lifespan in the small container? Just afraid to start yanking it out as there's a small lip on the can (rookie mistake) so moving it would likely result in a bit of damage to the roots.

It seems to be in great health aside from the bottom leaves.

Advice? I'd really appreciate a thumbs up or down from someone who has experienced a similar issue.

buy a bigger pot, fill it up with usable soil, find or borrow some chain cutters, cut the coffee cup and place the plant in it's new home.
