i started this thread because with a lot of my research in the growing community watering, container sizes, and nutrients always seem to be huge issues. not for me though it seems? this is not to TELL anyone what to do its just from my personal experiences in growing. i do believe that the best growers are those who have the most commonsense in all aspects and are open minded and search for good teachers and experiences. so i have been doing nearly this exact same style grow for the last two years lets see what you all think. even if its not good for your own personally nutrient line up it is a good container transplanting guide. and personal grow method for SURE
water source - tap, well water, 8.0 no adjustment add nutrient one at a time while running recirc pump to make sure there is no reaction before dilution.
nutrients- general organics, biothrive grow/bloom, calmag(almost always 1.5x), bioroot, bioweed, biobud,( diamond black, and subcultures used as scheduled only. biomarine not used)
root cubes-dixie cups-1 gallon plastic-5-7 gallon fabric pots. when i transplant i do slightly aggitate the root ro losen up if they are not. break soil down very nice and do not push hard. saturate with RO-tap mix to 6.3ph till it drains freely and add regular dose of nutrient water. works beautifully.
i veg my plants with 1000 watt lights seems easier for me to just leave them hung 3 feet from container tops in each 5x5 space. i begin with the plants rooted and in solo cups. i water them every other day with 1/2 or so of a cup of water 1/2 dosage, then 2/3 then full. after one week in solos they are ready to be put into there 1 gallon plastic pots. watering them again every other day a quarter gallon(or slightly less) with regular the strength to 1.25x rates of biothrive grow formula if vigor seems to slow at any point. then after 2 week i transplant to the final 5-7 gallon bags (fabric dirt pouches) i now water these with roughly a half gallon gallon of water every 3-4 days with usually 1.5x the rate of grow formula. i leave them in the 5 gallon for about three more weeks and they are ready to be put into flowering = ). i do a flush the size of the container with a mixture of RO water and tap water at 6.3 as a flush when i flip to flowering it seems to do wonders. i use the scheduled label for all the way through flowering. if i have a defficiency starting i dont like to have to up nutrient a lot so instead ill mix in a part of the grow or bloom for whatever npk is at loss. i hope that this will help some of your watering veganic problems your having at all! just a method! best thing to remember, "theres more than one way to skin a cat....aslong as its on youtube. haha = )"
