Container size question for soil growers

When I grew hydroponically, My plants stayed in 8 inch X 8 inch pots their entire flowering cycle.
My yield was approx, 1 oz. to 1-1/2 oz's. of bud per plant.
Remember: Different strains give different yields.

Now that I'm in soil.
I vegg for only 2-3 weeks. Soon as they reach 10 inches tall, I put them into flower.
When vegging, my plants stay in 6 inch X 6 inch containers.
When I throw them into flower I put them in 2 gallon containers.
I yield 3/4 oz. to 1 oz's - of bud per plant.
In 2 gallon containers I had to water about every 3 days. Every/Other watering I fed nutes.

I keep them in 2 gallon containers for several reasons.
It keeps the height down. I like my plants to be no more than 36 inches tall at harvest.
Plus, I can grow more plants in my grow room.

I have found that I can yield more with more plants in smaller containers,
Than having fewer plants in larger containers.
I'm limited to height. At the most I can grow my plants to about 40 inches tall.

With my perpetual grow op. I harvest 8 plants every 2 weeks. Which is about 6 oz's of bud.
I'm happy with it.
Now if I can only get rid of it as fast as I'm growing, I'd truly be a happy camper.
