Conservatives,

With the HC bill passing there have been many threats aimed at Dems that voted for the bill including harming them, harming their family members, vandalizing their offices. In once case the brother of a Congressman had the gas line cut at his home and had gas leaking inside.

Some political leaders on the right seem to be encouraging this type of "behavior." We've seen "dem hit lists" complete w/ crosshairs, way too many references to "picking up a gun" and only 1 Republican stand up and say it isnt right or acceptable.

I understand that many of you aren't happy about HC, but to me this is going to far and further marginalizing the Right.

Do you agree w/ violence, the threat of violence, assasination and revolution to show your anger?

It has always been the left that has used tactics like these and now everyone is shocked that the right has become activist. I'm all in favor of the in your face tactics that liberals have always used. When it comes to bodily harm or threats of that, I don't know any conservatives who condone it. In fact, I believe this stuff is being done by liberals just for what they hope will be media reaction. We already know some of those calling the blacks in DC names at the rally were lefty plants.

Isnt telling people "maybe its time to pick up a gun" encouraging this.

The leaders of the "conservative" movement are encouraging this stuff, plain and simple. They are doing nothing to stop it, in fact it seems they are encouraging and condoning it. If something happens to a Dem. leader (like the assassination threats come to fruition) this super conservative movement will stop dead in its tracks.

If the leaders dont act responsibly and they encourage violence against ELECTED officials isnt that just as bad as pulling the trigger themselves?

This IS democracy. Remember back in November we had those things called elections. Republicans lost.

The Dems and Obama RAN on the position that they would pass health care reform. They promised it, they got elected partly for it and now they are delivering on that promise.

Democracy is waiting until the next election and voting them out. Not getting angry because someone took your ball and then pointing an AK47 at them. THAT IS TYRANNY.

Yet with this healthcare bill the majority lost. That's because what was done was Chicago style "democracy."

it all seems so pitiful. for decades the left has used the very same tactics that they are now whining about. threat and intimidation are what politics are all about and crying about it simply because they are now the ones in the cross-hairs is cowardly at best. the party in power is expected to perform to the satisfaction of all the people and their wrath is the price of failure. of course the threats and violence of the few will tend to marginalize those trying to work within the system, but it has become quite obvious that the system has long since marginalized itself by the use of government's own threats and violence to further the agenda of those in power.

All 3 are lame ducks so why bother with them? The target needs to be deeper in the radical left establishment that has overtaken the democrat party. I think this is going to happen but it will be under the radar and we won't hear about it in the media.

For those of you who want to know how it could come down consider this: a decade ago we had a nutjob Islamist and a disturbed teenager totally terrorize MD and norther VA with their sniper routine. What did they kill? maybe a dozen people? And they were amateurs with a cheap rifle, no money and a beat up car.

Imagine ten teams of world class shooters, heavily funded and traveling from city to city. In a week or two the entire country would grind to a halt. And how would you catch them? 20 men and a couple million dollars would do it.

Would I advocate such a thing? Of course not. But remember after 9/11 when the liberals said we just needed to "understand" why these people were so mad at us? I do understand why a segment of America might feel driven to this kind of action. I used to think the first suicide bombing in the US would be some muslim nutjob. Now I'm not so sure. I said before and say again, we may find out what 21st century civil war looks like.
