Confused about aero sealed room with CO2

Hey everyone,

I'm about to venture into my first experiments with indoor growing and aero ... but i have a few questions about adding CO2.

I'll be using a sealed setup, only small (3'x3'x6') to grow a couple of ladies while i work out how all the aero system works. I've read conflicting ideas about using an intake/exhaust and also not venting at all.

So my first question is, in a sealed aero setup, do i need to vent (to attic/outside/etc) ... or would this be just for temp/humidity control?

And secondly, if you do vent, i guess you only vent at night? Otherwise the CO2 is just wasted?

I'm doing a progressive build, so i'd like to know the details before i start, so i dont waste time and money building it wrong!

Any input is greatly appreciated!

i use a tent and draw from outside air and exhaust to the outside, my inline fan is mounted on springs for noise control ,it pulls from my filter goes through my 2 lights and then outside.. when i have my co2 in there i put exhaust fan on a timer so when i want the room to build co2 it stops the fan and then it starts up when i need fresh air.. i also use a propane burner for co2 so its only putting out heat and co2 when the timer is on the off position.. it will let my tent fill then the timer cuts on and clears the room and fills with fresh air then the timer is set for 15 off and 45 on. when it gets to late flower i do 20 on and 20 off so it gets double the co2 the later it gets..or you can use a co2 bottle but it will always need a timer so the vent fans don't just suck it all out.. also remember co2 is heavier then 02 so it will eventually fall to the floor.. they sell these things called boos buddie bags that are perfect for a 4x4 or smaller.. i also put one of them in my tent just for my satisfaction.. they last for 6 months.. there called co2 boost buddie and can be ordered cheaper then a hydro store.. another way is yeast sugar and warm water.. make a jug up and hang it over your plants and when the temp rises so does the co2 output..

you can use dry ice also .. just fyi if you use the yeast it will smell like a brewery ..because it is basically the same just missing the corn..

Thanks for the input!

I've come to the conclusion it just depends on your conditions and your setup ... As i'm only having a small room, i'll probably just seal it up and use a dehumidifier to stop rot and use a split AC to control temps (and a little humidity)

I know some people run air through their lights to cool so it's still sealed, but i'm not a fan of those hoods!

Thanks again!
