Concerned i deleafed too early

I usually deleaf a cpl days b4 I go into flower..Instead I deleafed at about a week or week and half and now I can notice that my flowers arent growing as fast..does anyone have any experience with this or have they done this? I'm thinking I put them into shock.Im a little worried because there are some that i didnt do because I wanted to experiment and wait til day 21 instead. Those plants seem to have better growth in my flowers. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've always deleafed in the past but at certain points and its wrked fine but this time it hurt them
.only thing I changed was I did it later at day 7 instead of doing it at the beginning.

Deleafing is super beneficial. Just gotta do it the right way. I think because you took them all off for the first time during flower, you did shock them a bit. But I think you'll be alright. There's not much you can do at this point anyways but wait!

Yep you slowed their growth a bit, but they absolutely might recover and just take an extra week or two to finish properly. Just see how they progress. It’s also possible they might stay stunted.

Personally I prefer to do all my heavy pruning during veg so the plant has time to recover. This allows me to control and direct the plants growth and get the shape and bud sites I want. I trim lower sucker branches and remove random lower bud sites to prevent them from growing larf. This allows the plant to focus all its energy where I want it.

During flower the plant needs its resources so removing energy factories and storage sites is counter productive, and can cause situations like you are in now.

I keep my pruning and and leaf removal limited to necessity while in flower. If there are a couple large leaves that actually seem to be blocking light I might remove them. Other wise those leaves are what feed your plant, not the buds. That is why the plants grow more leaves after you guys strip them all off. They need more to keep growing right.

I 100 agree I hope they are able to bounce back because they are still very healthy..I am monitoring them closely thank you

Growing from seed I veg for 60 days. I top one- several times, defoliate once at week 6 and flip to flower at week 8. Once in flower on day 21 I strip the plants down of most of their big fan leaves and lollipop. I defoliate again one last time at day 42 of flower and let them finish.

See this is how I usually do it exactly the same I'm letting them go they are producing but about a week behind..I know better just wanted to try it different. I wont make the same mistake again

I'm sure it works for ya, but just my 2¢, day 42 in flowers a bit late. 21 is the last time most people who defoliate, do any stripping.
A good practice is a week before flip, a week after, and on or before day 21. Lollipoppin' should be done in between the second and last stripping.

You really gotta have some restraint sometimes. You can get started and as you move through the plants, you start to realize you're stripping more and more as you go and go back to the first ones that do t seem as well done as the last. When in reality, they were just right and you're getting too trigger happy towards the end. Nitpicking at every little growth you see.

Yeah it has all worked well for me so far that’s why I stick with it. All environments and styles are different but if it works for the grower I respect.

Yeah I ONLY do the day 42 strip if it really needs it. I can tell you so far that these In House Genetics Terple I’m running might definitely need it.
