Quality compost has 6× times the PLANT MATTER in it. I don't use any hot manures anymore. Corn meal and Brewers yeast are the activators for heat. After my compost cools (7days Black) I'll add 5-6-3 at the rate of 4 - cups/ bushel(32qrts.) and 3- cups D.E. Mix 2-prts compost, 1- prt. Silica sand and 1-prt. Topsoil.
Yes. Alfalfa/Timothy pellets, it's a 50/50 mix, wheat bran, corn meal and Brewers yeast as the activators (heat). When cooled down add a balanced organic fertilizer @ 4- cups and DE @ 2- cups/ bushel (32 qrts)Gotta recipe?
