Compost tea sprayed on buds

I was talking to a Master Gardener at a local University and he said I should not spray a compost tea on the buds because there is a chance it has samonola or ecoli.

I am thinking it should not matter because I am either vaporizing, burning, or cooking my bud which should kill the pathogens.

Do you all agree?

I try not to spray anything on my buds. That doesn't sound like a great idea, but I'm no expert.

Why would you spray compost tea on the buds? The only time I spray buds is with BT if I have bud worms. Maybe with neem/azamax if I get some spider mites, but I try to use predator insects instead.

If you're trying to foliar feed, you want to hit the leaves, not the buds.

Never spray buds!!!!! If you have pests get predator insects. If you have pm wipe down leaves with lab or em1.

Vaping wont kill any bacteria or mold.

Spraying will cause botyrisis to form. Which can make you very sick if inhaled or digested. The only way to kill it is burn it in a fire. Composting it won't even kill it. Burning it with a lightwr in a bowl won't kill it either.

Pathogenic E. coli can kill you.

Em 1 huh? Ive had the best luck with zero pm watering with em1 and topping with frass. Does spraying with em1 work because of its low ph?

Lactobacillus out competes pathogens and most bacteria. It can even be used to bioremediate polluted / contaminated ground soil and polluted / contaminated lakes and rivers.
