Complicated Inquiry

I've really been thinking a lot of what I want out of my life. Especially since my girl dropped me. I've always had basic ideas and guidelines...like, being comfortable and happy. The way everything is set up now tho, its a desk job or shit. I work in a refurbishment plant, and although I like the people, I can tell they arent happy. I dont want to be 40 still working towards a management position or happiness in some cases..

Here is where it gets complicated...

I want to grow. Only problem: I live with my parents...and I'm about 75% clueless on the process...even after reading several grows here and watching tons of videos. What I would LOVE to do...is somehow befriend somebody thats in the business. Help them out on their farm, have them be my mentor lol. This sounds kind of like a dependency issue, but really, I just want to get some first hand knowledge and experience. I'm thinking of relocating to Arizona...they are about to go legal for mmj...so that would work out.

How do you get to where you can grow for dispensaries and such? I think that would be the life right there lol.

Idk, I've just had some shit on my mind lately...and the only thing to toke on while thinking is cloud 10.

Just thought I'd see what my friends here at riu would say:blsmoke:

Come on...thats why its complicated...because nobody talks about it. How you supposed to get "in" if you cant communicate. I understand why it is that way, but it just sucks for those of us who havent had a chance at things like this. :bigjoint:

Its all about experience...Sure, you could learn from a friend, but i learned everything myself from trial and error over the years...and i think thats the best way.

As for getting to the point of growing for dispensaries and such...thats way down the road. Usually those people have an in, like having friends who know the owners or being really good friends with the shop manager, etc. Or by giving them lots of business and being very knowledgeable about growing and strains.

You pretty much have to be a patient, or caregiver, to grow for them...unless they are shady. And its not like you can sell them just anything...you have to have top shelf genetics, 100% organic methods and supplies, and your product really has to be unbelievable to gain retail prices like most people are used to. These medical places low-ball the shit out of anyone who's new.

Do more research.

I can definitely understand the position of shop owners on that subject. I know its not a walk-in, can i grow for you style situation. Does anyone know about Arizona and the...hmm..perspective on weed smokers there? Its close to cali so i would think its easier-going than here.

Thanks for the reply Lectric!

Don't move to Arizona lol

Their medical laws are going to suck. I'd move to cali if you can make it... then at least if you end up at a shitty job in a shitty aparment you have the ocean and good weather.. and weed! lots and lots of weed!

if you move to az your going to pay out the ass for dispensaries, get run off the road by old people and if you end up in a shitty apartment and job, you in the fucking desert wondering WHY THE FUCK YOU MOVED THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

as far as i know AZ has some of the worst laws reguarding cannabis. cops have nothing to do but hassle you fishing for you doing something illegal

Fuck I am 40 & in a top management position & I farking hate it. I got exactly what I always thought I wanted. The board room, different divisions of the company etc & my God its fucking terrible. I so miss just being the top guy in the field. I believe I would be MUCH happier if I had stayed out in the field.

If there was a way to get in to the legal growing business I would be there man. Fuck the salary.. whats money when your miserable.

Verde, thanks for the heads up lol.

Carl, I was brought up in high school as a pretty big DECA guy, my computer teacher pushed me to take all the business and financial classes I could. Passed em pretty easy I'd say..but as soon as I hit the college scene, and HONESTLY...joined this site...I've definitely seen how the desk job takes way to much time out of your personal life and induces to much stress onto a person. Plus, wheres the emotional achievement you get from that? Yeah I see the makeshift awards...but do you feel like you accomplished something...like a high yield plant that, if you couldve had sex with you would have gave it some extra nutes...lol.

Carl, your obviously are very good and hard worker....if the opportunity comes for something that would make you happier, id jump.
