I don’t think your led is to close from the stretching of the Taller plant and there’s no curling of the leaves ... that’s one of the best things about LEDs that you can get pretty close without doing too much damage to the plant as long as you’re around makers recommendation you should be OK ... I think you’re running a 300 W most 300 Waters are between 12 and 20 inches from your source from the looks of it seems like you’re pretty safe I personally think it might be a watering issue but I could be wrong
Yes, Thank you - if anything I am still confused about watering - drooping etc. and is it time to chage nutes to Flora - only given minimal amounts of Vega anyway.
It is 300W LED but also two 150W CFL (30W power draw each)

go to the store and buy a cheap clay pot and smash it.. put a piece in your pot sticking up..
clay pots turn darker when they are moist. the color that piece of clay is will tell you when you need to water. walmart sells shit just for that called a water worm.. just a clay worm that you put in soil. clay pot pieces will do the same thing.
looks to me like your only struggle is watering, other than that nice job jenny

As far as watering goes lift the pot and check the weight than water it and after run off check the weight again that’s how I know when to water.. As far as the size of pot u always wants start in final pot I start my autos in either a 5 gal pot or 3 gal pot that is the way u grow autos it doesn’t matter what u do they start flowering automatically after 3 or 4 weeks of veg no matter what I had one a while back that switched to flower before the roots were established and it grew big but buds didn’t get fat since the roots weren’t ready for flower.... I have tried a 7 gal pot for a auto and it was a waist of soil it would have done the same thing with a 5 gal.... Plants look good nice job good luck and happy growing

Day 63 from sprout. Topped plant on left looks lanky and pistils are further developed than non topped plant on the right.
Also, topped still has clear trichomes.
I had lots of lower leaves turning yellow and some falling off. Stopped all nutes.

Day 69 from sprout. Brown spots on most leaves - Magnesium deficiency? and is that important at this stage? It may be that the topped plant on the left produces less bud and still has clear trichomes.IMG_20180414_104401.jpg IMG_20180414_104410.jpg

The yeild looks low but will weigh in eventually.
Changes - will fill pots to top with soil initially.
Could look into a more specialised soil too.
May start seeds off in smaller pots.
Monitor water quality closer.
May buy a USB microscope for identifying state of trichomes.

May start seeds off in smaller pots.
Use cheap nursery plant bags, punch them full of holes. If you use soil, line the inside with a kitchen towel or something.
Coco can go in just like that. start with a 4" wide bag, step up to a 2" wider bag, every time the edge of your leaf canopy reaches the edge of the bag. This can be 3 or 4 bags in 2 weeks.
The boost is comprehensive and the root system it carries can yield serious weight. Use a 20 ish Watt (1000ish lumens cool white) spiral CFL hung 2 inches away max at all times. Could also be substituted with 10W cool white LED bulb while they are still seedlings.

After 7 days drying and now in jar, Topped plant yeilds 3/4 oz.
Would not top plants next time.
I wouldn't swear off topping based off these results alone. It's one of the most popular training methods for a reason. The one plant may have yielded less for a whole variety of reasons. Good looking harvest either way though!

Thank you. As this was an Auto perhaps next two will be left alone. I got 5 seeds so have time to try both topping and not as only grow 2 at a time.

Download Lux Meter on your phone and lower the light until it hits around 40,000 at the canopy - that is the ideal number you're looking for. Probably wont be able to reach that mark with a 300watt LED if its only like 175 from the wall though without sacrificing coverage. Nice grow though, good work. You should grow photos and you can throw in autos right along with them as they'll grow with 24 hour light and 12 hour light.

Non-Topped plant in jar today after 7 days drying. This plant yeild was 1oz exactly.
So 1 3/4 ounces from first two seeds with three yet to plant.
