I like to look at it from both sides.
The users side: It is fun to talk trash sometimes, hell, I've done it. I have my bad days. And, rules are made to be broken.
The admin side: As a web designer, and as someone who is currently setting up a site just like this for people to talk cannabis,
slightly different, not trying to compete, but creating something totally new. Still working on it..... I have talked with my web
host for hours about what kind of content can be and what can not be posted. There are rules the site has to follow, and some
laws as well. Rules are there for a reason. So I can understand the bans. Because RIU has to be hosted somewhere. RIUs web
host can shut down the website if the web hosts tos are violated. I'm sure threats are there. I've been doing web designing for
years, and know the web host's tos inside and out. They're all pretty much the same.
So I can understand both sides. It is sad to see some of the people go. But, at the same time, the people that got banned knew
that they could get banned by doing what they were doing.

Totally agree on the content rules. Also in web design and IT and you definitely don't want to risk the entire site going down over 1 bad picture.
On the other hand dishing out reprocussions for talking poorly about the mod is total sillyness. I could technically go straight up to Obama and tell him to his face that I thought he was a dirty monkey faced unintelligent git and there's nothing he can do to reprimand me other than discuss it with me. Can't arrest me for stating my opinion. If people want to talk trash about him (not saying what they have to say is valid or not) then he should turn his back if it pisses him off.
If someone doesn't like me I avoid them - I don't call the cops to punish them for not liking me.

I'm not one to call the cops, if one of my neighbors are causing a ruckus in the neighborhood, I will talk to them first

I kind of thought he was gone....... kind of been less of a "biker bar" around here lately.
The whole TOS thing confuses me a little, i can put pictures of growing thousands of plants on here, illegal everywhere (on the federal level in the us), but you say something wrong or post a picture of some tits, which you can find how many of in a google search, and you get your thread closed or banned. I am confused easy i guess, but doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But by the same token i always seem to miss the good threads that actually get people banned, or maybe i just don't know they got banned for that particular comment. Sorry for the thread jack here, just was wondering if our "watering hole" had run out of booze or people........
