Compared to a shot of Jack

Some folks analyze a few puffs of weed, down to the detail of which strain, as tho' it was a pharmaceutical med, detailing the effects... Have you ever tried a shot of Jack Daniels and then while it begins coursing thru your bloodstream, keeping track of its effects on the same things, like pain and, you know, the stuff of life that drives you(us) to ingest these chemicals? Which chemistry worked better and can you express why? I ask this because the shot of JD that I just threw back was so good that I question what other med could possibly work better.:-P:weed::eyesmoke::lol:

No replies? OK, by way of follow up and to close this stupid thread, the following morning I felt like crap, after a couple beers and just the one shot. The pain relief was pretty good, better than an OTC medicine, but only for a couple hours and the after-effects were worse than the original problem. So to sum it up, drinking can be fun and provide some temporary relief, but the net result is a loss because of the physical after-effects. Kind of disappointing really, I enjoyed the couple hours of alcohol high. Wish there was a way to enjoy that buzz without the hangover. Hey, maybe I'll try smoking pot instead.:clap:

I used to take one glass of wiskey everynight before I went to sleep. When I retired I switched to pot, it helps much more. I have never really payed close attention to the effects step by step, I just know it helps me sleep at night without the dreams.

i almost never take pain killers (other than cannabis) and they have a very pronounced and interesting effect on me, i can feel them in my body most of the time and the odd sensations as they reach the area of pain is quiet strange.
