Sup chaz! Glad you watched the video. That's definitely the biggest led room video I've seen. Theres another video out where a guy in canada is pulling 3lbs off just under 1000w led with higher thc content than his hps side running 1800w, not quite as commercial in size but impressive results nonetheless. . I really like what you guys are getting done with the indagros. They are definitely on my short list of lights to try out.

Hi guys.. I see what your talking about. From a longer term point of view dont the LED's last longer and save on electrical and additional material costs. Also as for lights with fans, wouldn't that be considered more mechanics to malfunction. My thought was that if the air is under full control via HVAC etc.. then theres no need for fans in the lights?

The problem with fans in the lights, any light, is that it's a place for humidity to get inside the light and screw up the board. It is just a matter of time.

Inda-Gro is IP-65 rated (weatherproof and gasketed driver housing) and the lamp is electrodeless so there is no corrosion going to develop on the sockets.

As to lamp life an Inda-Gro is electrodeless and rated for 100K hours with stable spectrums and intensities grow after grow. This is important if you're clones come off of mothers who sustain under the same lamps they'll be grown under. LED at best is rated @ 50K hrs and can be tailored to nail certain spectrums if that is your intent. I look for broad spectrum to better emulate natural sunlight and that runs contrary to what alot of LED mfgs make as their narrow spectrum claims to fame. Just sayin....

Fair enough.. I guess last question regarding the inda-gro lamp. Longterm, how does the power consumption compare to LED's... while still taking into consideration that LED's are basically double the price up front?

In terms of power consumption watts is watts. The 420 draws right at 420 watts and covers a veg @ 6' x 6' area but figure a flower area at around a 5' x 5' as the canopy gets closer.

It'll take at least two of the LED panels to get anywhere near that coverage.
