Thanks man! These crosses were mainly made to pass around to fellow enthusiasts. Testing is under way and thus far everything I’ve seen is happy and healthy! Looking forward most to seeing how the male’s traits pass throughout the crosses.

Can I ask why you chose a Sakura male for many of these crosses? What about this male/strain stood out for you? What does it add to the crosses?

Well it will certainly mesh differently with different varietals, but the Sakuras all had very dense and potent flowers. The male had a skunky cherry chocolate gas smell and great structure. Also the strain’s sisters were very hardy plants that didn’t take up a lot of room but were very efficient with the space they used. But more importantly the sisters made for a great smoke and had very pretty flowers. As far as the nicknames go, they’re just that. I’m hoping with all the crosses out nowadays I’m not using someone else’s moniker.. but To be honest this is all for fun. The Durban male I just used on two strains, the 89NL5xBCSC-NL5 and GSC-Forum. This was to add some wild sativa into those very “indica” strains. The NLxDurban is the only one that I’m releasing and I think it should be a very very unique cross. The NL mother smells like lime, pepper, forest floor, hash. Super super old school smelling. Very very relaxing smoke with great medical properties. So to be honest, I had basic ideas in mind for crosses. Like the Silver Lotus(fl)xSakura I hope to retain a lot of qualities of the Silver Lotus mom, like her vigor and large flowers with an incredible sweet floral haze smell. Wanted to tighten up her internodal structure while adding some density to the bud. The effect was already a killer, but hoping the Sakura grounds her buzz a little bit. The Durban Punch female probably had the best structure but needed the added density and trichome size. Durban x Sakura I think will be crazy exotic. Hoping it hits on point.
Really, more than anything these were just fun pollen chucks. A big part of it was to have crosses a lot of these genetics for years to come and to have a little remix of em all. The Fainting Goat x Sakura I’m hoping will be a great yielder with crazy flavor. That’s the main reason I did a bunch of these... bc really, I don’t have a ton of all these seeds. So the majority have been passed out as testers plus I’ll save a couple packs for myself. I’ve passed out countless tester packs so really more than anything it would bring me joy if someone found a pheno that they really liked that they grew for years to come. That’s kinda what I’m hoping for.. Just some fire Phenos that people enjoy. I’m rambling... anyway, I hope y’all enjoy

Sounds like a great proect all in all. The NL x Durban is something I haven't seen yet and I'm stoked that you are playing with old school lines too. Not enough of this these days in my opinion.

The male I chose resembled Apollo11 more than anything. I only did a couple crosses with that male and the goal for the Fainting Goat x Bruce Apollo was to make the cross a little more tropical & skunky. The BruceBanner3xApollo11 females were very Apollo11/Genius looking

Fat colas, quick flowering sativa, skunky and tropical smelling. Hoping all these traits are passed down.

I used to grow Kali Mist that has Durban in it with it's 14 week flowering time and the buzz was so intense that I'd have anxiety attacks if I had a hit too many.

Crossed that with NL#5 and got myself a cross I really liked if I get the right pheno which is the one that's done at 10 weeks.

Getting into CBD strains now and finding much better medicinal qualities.

What's going on in here? Any word from your testers about the outcome of your chucks? Is the sakura killing it like you hoped?

Things are going well! Most of the testing is being showcased via OverGrow and InstaGram. The furthest along this far are just in their 2nd week of flowering and are really looking good. -all will be revealed in the fullness of time to see if they actually are!

I donated them towards a good cause. Sunny needs eye surgery and it’s the least I could do... when I was visited Vegas for Halloween 2016 to see Phish Sunny brought me some smoke for free. Was really nice of him and didn’t have to do it.

The auction started at $20 and I think they’re still very cheap.

3 Phenos of Marukawa almost done at day 48 (almost week 7) being run by one of my testers. Nice hard frosty colas with pink and lavender/purple hues.

I'm not sure who the breeder was. A buddy bought a couple 10 packs from the old Marc Emery's Seed Bank back in 2002 and gave me 5 seeds. There was a list of it's parents on the pack and I remember seeing Durban poison as one of them. Seriously high sativa levels and would give me panic attacks if I did just a bit too much. Also took 14 weeks to flower out so I crossed it with NL#5 that toned down the buzz and the flowering time tho my favorite pheno still takes around 12 weeks to finish.

I just took a quick look on the web and it seems that Kali has a mixed history over the years and most of the info is just mostly Cambodian and other sativas with a dash of Afghani.

I dug up a Cannabis Culture mag from 2005 with the front pages listing Emery's seeds and Serious Seeds is the only listing with Kali and it just says, Top sativa strain available. Cannabis cup winner in 1995 and 2000.

If you like a real head high and an energetic buzz then it's a good choice.

Yeah, @OldMedUser: here Serious Seeds' Kali Mist is well knowed. I knows Simon from Serious Seeds saids it's Cambodian X Afghan, but I think it is a NL5/Haze or ShunkHaze.
It was a wonderfull Sativa, but they only have since a lot of years ago the "new" versión, more comercial n more indica.

No problem at all. Rather dead here... as harvests and smoke reports finish up I’ll be posting some pics of the crosses and their smoke reports here... but until then, I appreciate y’all stopping by and chit chatting in here. Feel free to use this thread however y’all please.
