Coconut Milk in Compost Teas?

Has anybody done this or tried this with any results to post from it? I don't want Oh well milk is bad because of fat..blah, blah blah, I know milk can be fed to a plant in small amount's if done properly, but Coconut milk in a tea style with molasses and some bene's was kinda my initial thoughts? Any recipe's out there, hell I might even ask about foliage feeding coco milk. ANY info pertaining this subject matter would be appreciated

Interesting thread! Definitely has my attention. I've got a few select plants im running some various experiments on already so I may brew some coco tea tomorrow unless somebody gives good reason not to. Im constantly looking for new ideas to try out so I hope you don't mind me trying out your idea to see what happens

Please do, and Let me know what you find out! I was kinda thinking of doing a trial run on one of my clones with it. The Goya Coconut milk that I have says it has potassium metabisulfite for a preservative was wondering if anybody could tell me any info on weather that would harm or react poorly with organic cannabis nute's? Also do you have any kind of an amount to feed like a coco milk to water ratio?

Im going to hit up the grocery store and get some fresh stuff straight from the coconut. No preservatives that way. I'll keep my findings posted on here and hopefully someone with experience might chime in.

I've read about it in a few different cases with coconut milk and wheat or bean's grass, etc not much about cannabis tho. I remember reading somewhere to dilute it like 1 : 15 parts water, but I believe that article was referring to using it with salt based nutrients added in a foliar spray. I know adding to much of it will make things stink like milk vomit or worse severely hurt my girls. I would assume that it might also be used as a cloning aid but not sure how. Hoping that somebody with some knowledge on the topic or at least what or how they do it could chime in.

Also please note that there are 2 different forms of coconut "Fluid" Coconut water, and Coconut milk, from my understanding coconut water is found inside the nut itself and is sterile and possible even ph balanced due to it being a seed. On the other hand you have something called coconut milk that is supposed to compromise of the meat or husk of the coconut and water therein, hence it is thicker, milkier and contains more nutrient like qualities.

So from what I can find coconut water is very high in cytokinins which is what stimulates plant growth. Studies done were on wheat as you said earlier. Mixed at 1:10 parts water noticeable gains were achieved in plant grosth rate and yield. I can't find much on foliar application but this dumb old newfy I met years ago rubs his leaves with fucking miracle whip lol so if that doesn't harm plants im pretty sure coco water will be just fine.. I should mention too that coco milk has significant amounts of mg, na and k in it as well

Which is why I would tend to think that using coco-milk or coco-water as a foliar feed done with like aloe or yucca would give it small amounts of needed things to absorb through its leaves and whatever fell onto the soil matter (cause I drench my plants when I mist them in veg) could only be beneficial to the myco's down there.

Milk no good. Fresh young coconut water is good. Full of all kinds of enzymes and minerals.

Yeah i use coconut water all the time as a soil drench...(along with diastatic malt).. as my enzyme regime.

Coconut water would be thinner then coconut milk...(never heard of using that) and works in my spray bottle without clogging.

from my understanding canned coconut milk separates into 2 parts if left on a shelf for a decent period of time. 1 part is more like a cream and the other part is more watery, Hence mixed together makes milk. Figured I would separate the cream from the water and foliar feed and mist the topsoil with coconut water, and the remaining waterymilk mixture could go to my active compost garbage can. Hyroot I value your opinion quite a bit on this topic what say thee?

Just be careful with the coconut milk if it has any additives, it may not augur well for your ladies. If you need help finding an organic additive free coconut milk you can try the brand "let's do organic" they have a pure one. Hope it works out well for you.

I was using cocowater in my teas for a bit but found it to be too "salty". Very high in magnesium.

I always use store bought R.O. whenever i make a tea so I know I'm starting as close to Zero water as possible. So i could prolly use the mag. and I run an organic line so salt buildup isn't too much of a concern either...Still waiting on a recipe or 2.

Just be careful, coconut water has a lot of sodium in it, one serving has like 250mg of sodium, so I would dilute it quite a bit to lower it down to an acceptable level. (You really don't want more than 50ppm of sodium, which is about 190mg/gal). Just a thought.

its 1/4 cup fresh coconut water to 5 gal of water. Bottled its a 15:1 ratio. water : coconut water

If you want t use soup nutrients You should check out the BioCanna biovega and bioflores. They contain micro flora which are alive and it's veganic. I have used them in the past and really enjoyed the buds flavor.

they're neither organic nor vegan. They got caught and in a little trouble last year. They were banned from California. Cali has looser agricultural product registration laws than other states.
