Coco Questions

Hey guys, so im planning on using coco for my next grow, and being new to it I need some help, Ive read up on it and have a little idea of it, I know you have to use certain nuterients. I plan on ordering everything in the beginning of next month, and so far I plan on buying:
  • Empire Organics Coco Peat 3.8cu ft Bale
  • Canna Coco A&B
  • 4 3gal Pots
  • 2in Gordon Rockwool Cubes
Is there anything else you guys recommend?

Would that get me through the grow, Im just going to hand water for this grow, and will probably run a drip after I become more familiar with it. Im going to do a one month veg under a 400w MH and flower under a 600w HPS Cooltube.

I have a couple questions though!

I have a Super Lemon Haze and Grandaddy Purple just sprouted in Dr. Earth Gold Medal Soil, would I be able to transfer them into the coco directly, or would I have to wash the soil off the roots? But would washing the roots even be worth it?

How water retention does coco have? Will I be watering everyday? Or is it similar to soil, like 3-4 days?

And one last question, do you guys have any tips or advice you could give me that could help me with this grow? Ive had successful grows in soil, and just about to have a successful harvest in a DWC/Drip system, but I want to give coco a shot because everybody say it has great yeilds and really great taste!

Thanks guys for reading, and any info would be greatly appreciated!:bigjoint:

might add a tsp of garden lime per gal of coco mix and a 1/3 perlite. I water every 3-4 in veg and as they finished I was watering every other. Just took 280 grams off 4 messed up plants. I use black gold coco mix. has pete, worm castings and perlite. And at least one or two other things can't remember. I water with half the pot volume of water. or a gal pot would use half gal of water. these are clones in the coco mix.

what should the PH level and PPM of a DWC be for big plants, medium plants, small plants, freshly rooted clones, freshly taken clones?

I just typed for 10 min to answer the tool. Then noticed he was asking about dwc. Why in a thread asking about coco? pm me or start your own thread.
