Coco questions

Recently picked up some ac infinity coco bricks thinking to experiment with growing in it or possibly mixing it in with my typical go to potting mix happy frog/ocean forest. A bit overwhelmed by all the info on coco. Mainly about charging with calmag. Package says it's washed and buffered. Does this mean it's suitable as is? Would I be correct to assume I may be needing to add calmag at some point during the grow? Thanks

Just know that if you mix coco with soil you may drastically change the way the soil reacts to water, nutes, etc., depending how much coco you add. Just make sure you don’t create “frankensoil”!

You will want an add a double dose of cal mag to the water you hydrate your coco with, also ph to 5.8. Then put into buckets and run water through them until your ec in matches ec out. Then it’s ready to go.

I always rinse and buffer my coco. Rinse with tap water then let it sit overnight in a calmag solution. Don't rinse after you soak in the calmag solution......it will wash out the calmag pre charge and defeat the purpose.
