I have done hydro systems of many types I have done orrganics in soil, I have done synthetics in soil. Now I just built a new room got a bunch of nbew palnts and am trying to do synthetics with coco. SPecifically the coco specific Advnanced nutrients sensi grow products.

I am using an RO water source and the specific coco i am using is botanicare, "aeration" with hydrpotun on teh bottom inch or two of 5 gal and 7 gal smart pots. I am trying to recreat a hyro environment for plant speed growth but while still having my pots on teh ground and hand watering.

Problem, plants look stresssed and under fed, or nute locked and over fed. Lime green with purple stems adn some leaf nucrosis.

What PPM should I be using for this grow(hyro? or soil? soil being 600 in veg vs hydro about 900 in veg)? what PH is best for coco? Any other tips to help me through this? I know they neeed more cal mag than normal, I have been giving them as recomended. also how often should I be feeding? ion hydro every watering is food in soil I would only feed once a week or less.

Im pretty fusterated watching my pants linger and suffer. they were all doing great in 6inch rock wool cubes and now that they are in thier pots they are slowly dying on me.

Did you wash your coco? I know you can buy pre-washed coco, but even then i always wash it. Unwashed coco coir always gave me problems.

It seem like it wouldnt need to be rinsed. why do you rinse it? it for sure looks like nute lock, Im using 900ppm AN sensi grow coco specific nutrients for them and all are hating life right now. at least my last watering was 900, Id say iv been giving them on average bout 6-800 and using RO water, so it should be 7, then adjusted with the PH perfect nutes probabaly 6.2 -6.5

Dont use cal mag the next couple waterings, it can lock out p. Use a bit more p-k this next week. Shoot for 800-1000 ppm youll be just fine

idk man... I always washed my coco even if it says it's been pre-washed. I have Rubbermaid container with several drain holes in the bottom, with a screen glued in the bottom to keep the coco coir from falling through.

If you think it's nute lock just give them just plain water for a couple of feedings to flush the excess out and see if it brings them back around.
