Coco grow

So I've been wanting to get my bubblers goin but don't have the option to order a medium or nutes yet but think I have a solution for this prob. I've read that miracle grow can be used in a dwc and I know that most are against this but I'm just kind of experimenting and trying to get it figured out. My question is can I get one of those coco hanging plant pots from Walmart and shred that up a bit and use this for a medium or is this totally different than hydro coco? I know it's prolly a dumb question but figured I'd ask. Very curious and anxious to try hydro

I've got a coco liner and just went and bought perlite thinkin that the liner will stop the perlite from gettin in the res. anybody have any input on this

So what are rockwool, hydroton, coco coir, and perlite? I understand dwc is just water and nutes but u have to have something for the root system to support itself right?

Rockwool, and hydroton yes. Coco and perlite no because it would just collapse and fall in the bucket because it's a loose medium.

Or just use a two inch net pot with a cap and you don't need any medium just support later one , got this idea from ss1 I started to late to implement it but told my friend and it is working great
