Especially dont fall for the water/molasses shit, I did for a while....

Far more of your sugars go to feeding BAD baccteria in your root zone, and the plant can't break down the sugars at all... Be better off using that sugar/molasses to brew a good myco tea to splash on the plants roots once a week.... just my $0.02

Oh, and as right as Aero is about not needing the extra water bottles.... zyme = good. Dunno about PR Pure zyme, but I rock great white/orca accordingly.... and my roots show it...

For coco I recommend cal mag also, and some silica, but the a+b work well, I use the an version sensi grow and bloom, seem to keep em alive anyways

the other stuff like plagron power roots and pure zyme and green sensation are they not needed for flower? Cheers
Most of us kill it without any of that other stuff.
Only time i've felt like using an enzyme is when I used to reuse coco.
I kill it with straight base nutes, including dialing in the Extra Ca and usually Mg that growing in coco needs(calmag);-) that's it!
Save ur money bro

Thanks alot aeroknow, the grow shop have a habit of selling you nutes and equipment you dont need. So when i repot you suggest i add calmag to coco?

If you're using GH PH Down, plus Calmag, plus coco nutes with added calcium and magnesium, and then later on high P bloom nutes, I'd advise you to be careful how much calcium you have in your mix.

With coco, it's easy for new growers to overdo it with the calmag, and if you're starting out with hard water that's high in calcium, then add calmag plus the extra calcium and magnesium in some coco nutes, then add phosphoric acid PH Down and high-P bloom nutes, and you're keeping your reservoir temps down in the low-60s, you can easily wake up one morning to a cloudy reservoir. The high phosphorous can bind to the extra calcium in the cool water to form calcium phosphate, an insoluble solid that keeps both your calcium and your phosphorous locked up in the water and unavailable to your plants. In my limited experience, running an airstone in the res seems to make this worse, so I only bubble when I change the res out, let it aerate for a full day, then if I'm adding calmag on that batch, pull the airstone and add the calmag last thing.

I learned early on that it's best to go easy on the calmag supplements, adding only when needed. You will almost certainly need some calmag supplements in coco (especially magnesium), but resist the temptation to overdo it. I'm still only on my first coco grow, but I've already found that mine only need a dose of magnesium every few weeks or so. You should learn quickly how to read the leaves and know when they're starting to need a boost.

As Aeroknow said, you don't need a whole shelf full of bottles with coco. I just use base nutes (Canna Cococ A + B), hygrozyme, and now a bloom booster in flower (MOAB is my preferred product, but if you're new, be careful because it's very strong and can cause nute burn quickly. You don't want to waste precious days of flowering having to flush out salt buildups). Some people do use molasses and report good results, but I would not recommend it to a new grower, or even a relatively experienced grower who is new to coco. I would keep the sugars out and run a sterile res until you're familiar with how coco works, because a healthy coco grow will have a substantial colony of microbes already, and if you add a ton of sugar you could destabilize that colony and create conditions that are more favorable to pythium and other very undesirable bacteria and fungi.

Keep it simple, don't ever use hydrogen peroxide, and you'll be surprised at how much of the load the coco itself will carry for you. Keep it moist, but not saturated, and make sure you have good drainage. What sort of irrigation system will you be using?

Thanks for the info bro, when you say irragation system whats that mean? Sorry for silly questions learning everyday, this is my first time on a forum. I decided to grow cause im sick of smoking local hay lool

I mean ebb and flow, drip system, handwatering, etc....
One feminized, 2 weeks old thursday under, 250 cfl, ive a fan in there just coco brick medium, its in a small pot the drainage is good. The first 7 days were great. Until i added cocos a +b start up im measuring my nutes by the litre. I added bare nutes after first feed on day 8.. the stem got floppy and it tipping. So i supported it with a tooth pick. On first set leaves theres tiny yellow specks. Second set leaves are fine.. i germanated on 11th feb. First feed when it got first set leaves then it just went south.. i flushed with clean ph water i going to allow dry out now. Also ill send snaps now completely new guys bare with me. Thanks to all for advice and replying to my thread
