So 2nd go at hydro, after years of doing soiless.

Got 1300 watts of cree 3590s over two 4x4 flood tables.
Using GH flora 3 part, some cal mag and liquid kool bloom. Might switch out the cal mag for epsom salts...

Anyway, after 21 days in the aero cloner i got this...finally

Kush Skunk from Peak Seeds.

Planted 11 out of 18 today. Waiting for some more roots on the other clones before putting them on the table

All seems to be well. Res change today with a bump from 300 ppms up to 500 ppm, or 1.0 EC.

Was worried about some droopiness in the leaves and was told to get the temp up. So whaddya know... 83/84f perked the girls right up.

But im seeing some clawing or curling now... not sure why. Ive been really light on the N.... so i dunno...

I've encountered some strains( especially auto's) that were very sensitive to concentration changes. 84 is where I try to keep my room-works really well for me. Looking good

So you're on cobs too? Whaddya got?

Do you do 84f all the way through? Early veg through flower? Or do you change it up?

The area I'm using is a 5x5. This was the maiden run on this UC setup and I had a few hiccups running 4 different strains. The Exodus, Northern Soul and Aurora got frickin' huge while I was waiting for a Remo Chemo to get going. The Remo never did catch up and the 3 other girls ended up at about 5' from the floor-lots of bondage was required. The Aurora did over a pound and the Northern Soul wasn't far behind. I kept a few cuts of it and I'll use them to run a mono crop next year. The Exodus was the last to finish-decent smoke but takes too long for me.

Here they come.
Followed some advice to up the room temp to 85f to increase transpiration and they too right off. @ttystikk

Pics are right at lights on so theyre a bit droopy. Theyll be praying in a couple hours.

That swing is acceptable but keeping it more level will be better for reducing the chances of powdery mildew.

Say... I was just reading that when using LEDs the temp dif between lights on and off shouldnt be more than 10 degrees f. What are your thoughts on that? And on nute solution temp? Im keeping it around 71, but wondering if warmer would help?

I think your nutrient solution temp is about ideal.

I personally believe that the less day/night temperature differential, the better. If anything, warmer at night leads to better productivity, as long as the plants have all the water and nutes they need and the RH is on point.

Well... my EC and pH has been stable all week. No change at all, while the water level has been dropping. I understand this to be ideal... i spose i can warm the room during lights off though as it has been dropping to about 70f...

So things running great. A weeks growth has doubled the size almost. All perky and happy.
Flipped 3 days ago to 10.5 / 13.5 off.
Temps 83 and rh 60 to 75%. Water temp 71f and ec 1.7.

But i noticed something weird. See the pics... while most fan leaves are happy, some are starting to canoe, as if from heat stress, while others, on the same leaf even, have tips curling down.
Contradictory symptoms it seems.
Not sure whats going on there... ???? Anybody??

So cruising right along... 16 days after flip and the buds are coming nicely.

But hold the phone. Got some brown sludge in the res. This happened to me in my first go at exactly the same time!?

and i tried dealing with it using h2o2. Didnt work well... and ended up with a stunted harvest.

Thought it was due to hi res temps and having waited about 12 days for res change. This time i bought a res cooler. Temp has never been over 71f. Also, been changing the res exactly every 7 days. So... wtf??
