COBs and amber trichomes

Ok so my question is do cobs have problems turning trichomes amber? Maybe from the lack of UV and even lower temps.

I am running 6 Vero 18 gen 6 80cri, 2@4000k and 4@3000k In a 2'x2' space. I have a plant with 95% plus of the pistils have turned red/orange, all the fan leaves yellowed and removed but the trichomes are still about 50/50 cloudy/clear and the only amber I've seen are on damaged trichomes. Is this normal under COB/LES or is it just something with my grow?

Harvest time, actually a late harvest. Cannabis is at its best when the trichs are milky white and only a few have turned amber, amber means potency loss / decomp. Clear means too early. Milky is just right. Least thats what I was taught.

Yeah I figured I'd harvest when I had mostly cloudy . But most people say to harvest when you 20-30% amber for what're reason. By all other signs my plants seem ready to go with pretty much all red/ orange pistils and the fan leaves dying off but my trichomes are about an even mix of clear to cloudy for some reason. This is also my first run using COBS/LES lights so was wondering if the lack of UV may prevent the trichs from turning amber and figured this forum would be the best place to ask since many here had experience with them. And they would know if this was a common thing with COBS and if not then it's just something else in my grow

How are your trichs an even mix of clear and cloudy AND 95% amber ? You waited too long from the sounds of it. If its all amber it all too late, not a disaster, just past peak potency. I seriously doubt this is about the COBs.

Certainly an efficiency thing right? COBs being more efficient, but that would be like, my strain says finish in 120 days, but under cobs finished in 100, still if you are watching your tichs, you would know.
Finished as per the tric method yes...and I believe it is a matter of spectrum

You didn't say how hard you were driving the COBs, will guess 1A range. Very close to what I'm running.
Just finished one plant under them, and have 2 of it's clones at the brink of harvest.

All I'm seeing is cloudy and everything is flushing earlier. First finished in 53 days, clones about the same.
Since it's mystery genetics will take quick flowering. Nice when clones follow similar timelines.

The last pair of clones got new soil and am letting them grow as close as they like to light zone.
They actually made the top of the ring cage this time so looking better and better.

Ha he had me re reading my own post thinking I had put 95% amber and 50/50 clear to cloudy.

Yes I'm running at 1.05 amp and it's a bagseed strain so have no clue what the flowering time should be.

I'll flush it one more time and by the time the soil drys it'll have had a 2 week flush. Then I'll Cut and hang.

Glad I asked this cause this seems to be a subject with COBS that should be brought to the attention of growers just trying them for the first time
