cob led fixtures - some quick questions

What bad things did you hear about Tasty build quality?
Well the the loud fan was one thing I heard, and another was "not satisfied with the craftmanship" not sure what that means, I haven't tried them myself. Just sharing what I've heard, even if what I've heard is very limited and anecdotal. :)

i'd looked into those too, saw a grow here somewhere where someone had done their research and had this one or similar https://www.ledgrowlightsdepot.com/collections/16-sq-ft-coverage-area/products/amare-solareclipse-se450-uvb-450-watts

was about to pull the plug on a tasty led t4 but for a few hundred more could grab that one... i guess my concern is the height of the tent with that light. gonna be working in a 5'3" tall tent, if the light recommends 3' above canopy at veg and 2' at flowering, is there even gonna be space for this type of light in the tent? :\ only reason i'm forced to work with that height is super odd shaped room.
Thanks, that's the site I could not find.

Amare uses quality (quiet) fans

In short height spaces fewer plants + LST + some sort of grid to tie the stems down, and thread them through while they are young. There are several such grow threads on RIU

That's lame maybe consider a 315 cmh led tech is all over the place anyway it'll run just as cool and have a better spectrum than any of these led lights
Just shooting you some ideas from myexperience with this stuff

Not necessarily true. Yes, if you are talking about blurple leds, but not white-based led panels, or white-based with some blues and reds to enhance those important spectrums, ala Amare

Thanks Handy. I use quiet fans that cost more in bulk than most retail PC case fans. Over time I've adjusted the fabrication for tighter tolerances and increased the gauge of the aluminum shell so I'm pretty happy with the build quality. I get lots of repeat customers and follow up comments thanking me. There's nothing to improve in the current design that I can find except to revise the electrical components over time. The emitters are currently running about 50% efficiency and that will be going up this fall in a substantial way. I do attempt to produce a polished product from all angles so it's a concern when the craftsmanship is mentioned but I'm not sure how to address the claim without specifics.

went with the amare solar eclipse 450, hopefully some good plug and play - i'll run a grow journal once my mephisto seeds get here. thanks everyone!
There is NO better light on the mkt. IMO after researching them all. You have nothing to worry about with the company. They are the original cob light/enhanced white light w/ a solid warranty. They're going nowhere but up.
If you have any questions about them, I'd be more then happy to answer your questions. You can also view my latest thread to see them in action.

Or come see how it all began with Amare putting a good spankin on my Hydroponics Hut Burple. There's also HPS comparisons here.

I own the SE-450 & 2 Pro-4's. They just produced the best tree I ever grew. Very happy & would never consider anything else for an above light source. You'll see! Good choice!

Oh, thought you might be interested to know, I'm an HPS grower too, growing big things for a minute now. After using my Amares, I am currently in the Process of breaking down my 8000+ watt HPS room to go all Amare! No joke! These are as real as it gets!
Within the next few months everyone will see scientific proof as to why they are actually the best available. A huge study Amare is in the process of partaking in will show the proof. I'll be posting a link to it once it's underway.

yeah man :D i'd skimmed through your grow before, also had seen big smo and a couple other users on here have great success with the amare stuff so i'm pretty excited! i'd seen in the comment section of some sales site that amare's site had been down for a while or something and that that's usually an awful sign (the guy posting had even said to stay away from amare for now, so it's nice to hear others saying not to worry lol).

it's nice to see all of the cutting edge led makers (amare, tasty, northern grow, etc) working hard on making the next best thing for the consumer instead of making shoddy stuff with crappy components and trying to pass it off as gold (because there are plenty of brands doing that)

Anyone who owns an Amare knows they're in no way going anywhere. Site got hacked by a jelly competitor. Now Victor is working on perfecting a new one. I just got an e-mail from him & he stays returning them just as he did before. Still coming out with new products & doing better then ever.
Anyone saying stay clear of them is just a competitor or one of their shills trying to gain a client to sell their inferior product to.
Believe me, you & your plants will be happier then ever & will always be able to contact the owner.
My only advice about purchasing an Amare is to contact the company/owner direct. He establishes a great relationship with his clients & treats them like fam. Also gives hella good deals too! Sales you'd never know about going through another web-site.
Glad you saw my threads! I tried to answer questions others might have during my grows.
Yes, the companies you mentioned are quite the breath of fresh air after the yrs. of shady shit pushed by so many companies. They try by using top components being transparent.
Just beware of false claims. Ex: "Most efficient light available", "This light will exceed the growth rate of the sun itself", "The Kindest Spectrum" ect.... The list goes on.
When you get your SE-450, feel free to post pics & your experience on my thread bud!

The truth is inconvenient to some and they choose to write really really long paragraphs...Pick a light you like.

I laugh a little at new members saying they tried everything months after picking up a China light. Whatevs. Proof in the pudding for Led's regardless of who or what you want to hype.

and if that is the last excuse to resort to..."paid shill"....I would steer clear of advice given from that source imho.....

Funny thing is, these shills or whatever they are pushing products don't even seem to be paid. For instance. Mad people were pushing PLC here like they were all that, but not one person owned one. Just now I see someone owns the new 250. But prior to that there was a bunch of guys pushing the cx-300 but none of them owned one or even grew pot as it appeared for that matter.
There's no threads using them but GG's. Maybe one now after all this time n it's a 250. So, as far as I see it, no documented grows here on RIU or any other site in aware of other then the owner. Sad really.
which is a bummer because in that case it persuaded someone to go with something else :/
That's messed up. All anyone has to do is e-mail them & all the answers are right there. After speaking with him, you will rest assure that companies as solid as they come.
You made the best choice! If you can do it, I highly recommend using your space as a real grow room rather then the tent thing. I'm all about the grow room myself. Less limited in every way.
Keep us posted bud! It's exciting stuff when you open those double boxes!

Now you just sound sad. Use your logic, does that mean the same thing as Amare, since we can only find one individual maybe using them. This is the internet and you really can't believe who is posting what right?
