COB Diagrams

Is anyone in possession of a diagram detailing 4 or 5 CXA3070s at wired up with a Mean Well HLG-185H-C1050A driver. I am currently contemplating giving a diy build a shot and think I might be able to figure it out if I can decipher a diagram. I have absolutely no experience but have read countless pages on COB and continue to get stumped by terminology. I assume the fans need to be on a separate driver (looking into ARTIC Alpine 11's) and if anyone would know where I can view an example diagram that would be awesome as well.

That's the best diagram I've ever seen..lol.

Seriously though. It's like when landlubbers come to the ocean to play in the waves and get hurt. For some people it's second nature and common knowledge...others dangerous. It's always nice when someone comfortable with the situation can hold your hand initially for those that dare to try..

Like we say here...Eddie would go . Or for others not familiar...just do it.

Follow that diagram and you got yourself a 200w light

Yep on the AC side driver and PSU in parallel. On the DC side, fans in parallel, COBs in series. Here is a good 9V fan PSU. They will run nearly silent at 9V. If you go for 12V just grab a 12V 2A version. Look for efficiency level 4 or 5 OEM adapters.

You might as well go with (5) COBs with that driver. It is most efficient near its max voltage.

Also, if you're running at 1050mA, the artic11 might be a little overkill.

That's about 36 watts per fan. I use 1x 90mm fan at about 1.8W to cool an 80W UFO killer, and it get it nice and cool
