Im looking to get some soil. I dont have access to fox farm soil but has anyone heard of the cost of main soil? they have a few different kinds, i was thinking about getting this:

http://www.coastofmaine.com/soils-penobscot.shtml

"Penobscot Blend is made with fully matured salmon, blueberry and mussel compost (2/3) and sphagnum moss peat (1/3)"

They have a few other products on there website but im not sure what to use.

bump someone must know something about soil. It this soil going to kill my plants if I transplant them out of the MG soil its in now>?

I need to get some nutes so I can add them to my water, Im using tap water.

that soil looks straighter then MG. I dont know anything about that brand but order some foxfarm online. Its worth it. That soil looks ok but ur gonna need some ntes.

yeah it looks like it would be just as good as foxfarm. I have schultz 10-15-10 for utes. 10 drops per gallon

I just grabbed 2 bags of this

http://www.coastofmaine.com/soils.shtml

the pink bag of bar harbor blend premum potting soil.

it says: "Bar Harbor Blend is our new, all-purpose potting soil introduced for the 2005 season. It is a rich, dark brown and full bodied, designed for potting or re-potting house plants, planting hanging baskets, window boxes and all containers. It can also be used as a seed starter and for potting-up seedlings.
Bar Harbor Blend is made with lobster and aspen bark compost, long staple horticultural grade sphagnum peat moss and perlite. Like all compost-based soils, this too requires less watering. "

It seems like it is heavy black and thick.

I know it has some perlite in it but would you recommend me mixing a small bag of perlite I just bought from home depot?

It would probably only be about 5% of the whole mix but Im sure it will help it drain even better. it does have the miracle grow ferilizer in it but like i said it is only a small amount.
