Co2

I use an "iron lung" type style for my grows. My question is this....would adding a CO2 bag like people have hanging in their tents even be beneficial in a grow like mine?
Like Lordhooha said, cO2 is useless unless you are running a sealed room or tent. Reason being, your exhaust is just sucking whatever cO2 you pump in the air right out. CO2 however, does have some significant benefits during flower. My buds tends to put on more weight. But you have to be at least 1500 ppm to achieve this. Not really familiar with those canisters or bags, I used tanks.

You can get a higher yield also with lower ppm's as 1500. Even 800 could make a difference.
I started off at 800. But when you have 20+ plants, 800 didn’t get the job done. It did work for a lower plant count though. Guess I should have added that in there.

I don't think that the number of plants makes any difference.
Could you give a reason for what numbers would have to do with it?

As we all know: Just adding more CO2 does not do the job.
You should have a sealed room as you stated (you can also do it in a semi-sealed room, but then you need special devices to get the CO2 more efficient to the bottom of the plants. Some greenhouses add CO2 and still have some windows open.)
One should also adjust heat and EC and water. Everything needs an upgrade.

I used CO2 in different amounts in larger rooms (4 x 6 meter) with over 20 x HPS 600.
Even small rises in CO2 were notable.
But what you also could see in this large room, was that CO2 was not distributed at the same amount at every single spot.
Took a while before I had that tuned in.
Also finding the best ppm took a while. 1200 was good. Higher yield and still no foxtails and fluffy shizzle.

Hi guys, sorry to come here like this, I wanted to post a new thread but I think I can get my answers here. I am planning to add a full co2 controller (probe, controller and valve) to my 8x8 tent. I use only an extraction fan, no intake. As I read in the user manual, the controller will stop the extraction fan for the chosen time while spreading the CO2, but would this be enough if my room is not sealed? I was thinking to get bigger co2 tanks and refill it once at 2 weeks just to keep the optimum level. Any advice?

I also have a portable AC in the tent.

Back in the days when AC's where not used in growing rooms, people also used CO2.
It worked as you said: The extraction fan did not work while the CO2 was injected in the tent.
After a certain amount of time, the CO2 stopped and the fan started sucking out the air.
It works, but it has 2 downsides:
1. You don't give your plants the amount of CO2 you could give them.
2. The temperature in the tent goes up and down. And so will perhaps be your RV.

With an AC you might not need the extraction fan (just a tiny bit to create under pressure and prevent that smells escape your tent this way)
I am not an expert on AC's, but I think you need a split unit AC.

Would it be much better if i add an intake fan and seal the tent?
What would you gain with that?
'Seal' does imply that you have no intake fan and also not exhaust fan (only a small one for under pressure)
Seal and intake fan are a contradiction.

There are 2 things to take care of when you use CO2
1. Preventing that the CO2 you added is sucked out immediately.
2. Making sure that your temperature stays stable the whole time.

The easiest way to achieve this is seal your tent and ad a split-unit AC.

would you advise me to cancel the order for the moment? It s hard to get a sealed room now, but i can afford a 77 lbs co2 tank per month, do you think it can bring me at least 10% in yield? Or anyone else on this thread who has used it in a vented room? I have 3000w quantum boards in 8x8 tent.

Co2 supplementation is awesome and super easy. People usually say "everything else has to be dialed in", but growers strive do that anyways. Nothings better then extra co2? Id advise greenhouse or environmental controller, solves most issues of wasting if not running total sealed.

The co2 computer has an environmental controler, i ve also ordered a co2 rain tubbing system to help spreading it:
