Co2 **The Big Debate***

I have heard so many different opinions on the subject of Co2 as far as the proper PPM, Temp, Humidity. I wanted to see what other people had heard.

How many PPMs are you running?

What Temperature and humidity is your room for maximum benefit?

How long is your room staying at an elevated PPM level during the light cycle for your plants to benefit?

From what I've read and heard I have my room set up at 1,600-1,400 PPM with the exhaust fans on for 15mins then 30 mins off. This brings it down to 800 PPM while the fans are on. I keep my room temp under 85F and humidity under 60%

What is everyone one else doing?

Also, What cooling device are you using to control heat without exhausting Co2?

Will a carbon filter in the middle of the room with a fan on it scrubbing the air decrease the Co2 levels or just help to combat smell?

Wow, great thread... I'll be adding CO2 to my room soon, so I'll be watching this thread closely... hopefully we'll get some good input ...

"16 to 14k ppm"... do you mean 1600 to 1400 or 16,000 to 14,000?! Just curious.
My CO2 PPM is 1300 to 1500. It never dips below 1300.

Grow room temp is at 86-88 consistently.

Humidity floats between 37% to 42%

Using sealed room environment, offsetting the heat by air conditioning.

Ideally, I would like to hit temps inbetween 80 to 85. But some strains are more resilient to heat.

great post, Im also curious about c02 when using extractor fan. Im only venting my light hoods and using a a/c, but humidity is high due to room being sealed. I will probably try the 15min on 30 off as soon as I get my other fan/filter

Whats the cost of buying and running an average C02 system? C02 system usually require for you to have a glass shield or cooltube. Is the yield with C02 that much more noticeable?

keep co2 levels between 1200 to 1800 ppm, dont vent keep temps from 85 to 90 until you hit the last 3 weeks where some people lower temps to 75 to 80 and also lower co2 concentration to match their ppm of their food nutrients. the more ppm of co2 the more ppm for fertilizer, match it 1 for 1 throught your grow and you will c beautifull results. They say not to run more then 2000 ppm but ive seen 2200 with big results. I guess it depends on your knowledge and ability to really c how your plants are doing. Strain plays a factor and so does size of root system. no co2 during darkness

Thats just what I was going to ask: If you have good co2 levels is venting unnecessary assuming temp is in order?

It would be nice not to have to run the exhaust fan for smell purposes..

Thanks alot bro! Is 80-85 where I want to be during the day or night? How big of a variance also? Im going to be growing Mandala's Satori
