CO2 Heat and Day/Night Temperature Difference HVAC Pro?

My basement growroom has one register going into it which is on the house thermostat ac/furnace.
In the summer i need it open during lights on and closed during lights off to keep my diff in check.
In the winter i need closed during lights on and open during lights off to keep my diff in check.
Can i use one of these so i don't have to manualy do it?

How do i wire it up? Do i just plug one of these into a timer?

Any HVAC guys out there know how these automatic damper things work? Am i going about this the right way or am i missing something here?

the transformer steps power down to 24 volts, that goes to a thermostat, then to the damper.

How do i hook it up to 3 prong 120v cord? Black hot, white neutral, red ground?

Black is 110v hot, white is neutral. orange and or red is capped off, they are used to wire up different voltages.

Got it. No ground.
