co2 gonna fuck my carbon filter?

I'm using a co2 candle in my room, burning oil.

I've got this fluffy material around my filter and it has turned black from the burning oil.

Is the black smoke gonna heavily shorten the life of my filter?

Burning candles and oils are very hard on air filters of all types.
