CNN's Pot Specials....

Well last night after CNN did their usual 800 teases they got to the topic du jour... POT...!!!

OK I expected a more biased report but was pleasantly surprised.. 1st with the fact Anderson Cooper was the one doing it... If people don't know he's the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, fashion designer... so he's been around a certain lifestyle that may have helped him see the story from a different angle..

I must say I didn't watch the Melissa Etheridge, but she used it after her breast cancer...

They did show a Bi - Polar women who'd taken it and had adverse reactions and thoughts of suicide...although if you listened to the story she was predisposed to addiction and did have too many psychological issues and it caused her many delusional thoughts..
Some of us have friends, family..etc that may have similar issues....

I may have liked to see this part juxtaposed against lets say xanax which I use and has a nasty potential for suicidal thoughts side effect, when and if you stop w/out slowly decreasing dosage... but this story dealt just with the pot side... and the women did agree that pot should be legal.. but just wasn't for her...

I was really impressed when they went to the Farmacy dispensary.in cali... it showed all the strains..the pharmacist that worked there was not an Emory clone but a pharmacist for 35 yrs before doing the CC thing.. but she went on to explain the sativa effect..good for depression because its an up.. and that Indicas were a more heavy stone.. good for arthritis and pain..etc..
They showed what reminded me of old candy shops with jars of colored candies and assortments..
They showed lollypops... chocolate bars with pot...drinks.... it looked like a Laura Secord candy shop and did a good job of taking away that "evil face" of weed....

I'd hazard just by Andersons joke about not getting to take some samples and the ease that the word bong was said..(some people just sound wrong saying shit..you don't belong thing..) ..that he's been around the evil herb himself...

I'll try to keep this a day to day BRIEF update.....

I was impressed by part 1... lets see if it continues
.

its seems more plausible to say marijuana could be legal within 20 years. the government are getting introduced to new representatives that grew up in the 60s and 70s and have been introduced then and have different views of it.

Just the fact that its getting to be "prime time TV" is a promising thing... at least its not out of site and mind..

Im glad it's getting some air-time too, and this is at least not as biased as we typically see. I think it's important that people see there is a serious case for legalization. Sometimes all that's needed is a bit of legitimacy to change a few minds. I know a lot of people who are against legalizing it but they don't know why - just that important people are against it so therefore they should be too. But if they have a chance to see that there's a real case for it and it's not just a bunch of hippies trying to get stoned, they can actually start listening.
