I am only growing 1-2 plants for personal use (since I smoke even more now that I am paralyzed) and have already decided to go with LED rather than HPS/MH (heat and energy), so which of these 3 lights should I go with? Price is not a factor, I am willing to spend up to $500 for a light, the main thing I am going for is quality of the bud grown.

If I go with the Area51 light should I wait until the 2014 XGS-190 is released? Also would one of those lights be too much for a single plant?

I am avoiding searching craigslist because if I am shelling out that money I want it to be covered under warranty, but would one of these DS100 or DS200 listed here be a wise choice?

I have a pro grow 260x,cow (2) and the 100 wat advance diamond. ALL OF THESE ARE GREAT LIGHTS FOR THE JOB OF VEG/FLOWER. Pay attention to footprint. Its tiny you will do fine

Of the three listed.......clw for sure IMO, hand built in the USA.......you should also look at rhinogrow from Michigan and its in your budget.

Area 51, Hans panels are also very good for your price range.

Out of the 3 you had listed, CLW all the way.
The best LED light in your price range of $500, Area 51.
Also, A51's XGS-190 is now available for order.

I have the blackstar 240w lighthouse hydro v2.0 and the plants love it. Ive only had it for 2 weeks but so far it has increased my grow rate by a lot over my 200w CFL lights. I got mine from gothamhydro and also ordered a grow tent that should be here soon.
