Clump Planting?

So - i have a number of fairly weak seedlings and then a number of healthy ones - this is a medical grow and i want to keep low profile so there is not room for every weak seedling to go into a good home..

How is it to plant 2 or more seedlings in the same hole? or into one 15 gallon? i have seen a monster before that grew as a clump in Spain, but my friend says that it is a last resort move.. Haven't tried it myself...

Planting out is a few weeks out still so there is time to think on it and to figure out how many spots to fill...

Thanks for any input.. :)

roots become intertwined in same bucket and one may become weak and die , so ive heard . 1 per m2 will work in ground with little 2 no probs

they will fight each other for the sun stretching to much and covering each other. its definitly not the way to grow them. if you cant take care of them all your better of taking good care of what you can and getting rid of what you cant. one plant given all the space, sun, water, nutes, love it needs will outproduce ten that are overcrouded and fighting for their needs. i know it sucks but thats the thruth.

and trim their roots also? they are just as important as whats up top for the health of the plant.

I always have a hard time disposing of a healthy plant.

I'd say plant the healthy plants individually, and the weaker seedlings three to a container.

If your seeds aren't feminized, you'll probably see about half males.

the weak seedlings are all non-femenized bagseed from last year.. it would be nice to have one male pulled and one girl already planted..
but, i hear your warning soda - are you speaking from direct experience?
and pink - you mean they could be as close as 30 cm?

I'd plant them about 2 to 4 ft apart depending on the strain (if you know and the fact that they are weak), your growing conditions and security concerns. This way if one plant gets sick or infected with ??? then the others are not "right there" in the affected area. Plus if you know that these beans are not that good why add a variable that isn't positive into the mix?

ford442 yea ive been trying to grow since i was 15-16 im now into my 30s so ive a little bit of expierience and i have made every mistake once some many times. crouding your plants will never give better results. i dont want to sound like an asshole but i done it and seen friends do it and it never works for the best.

I have some exp in the matter also and what I woud say is this.
do you want to get something or do you want the best plants as possible? are you hinderd on space or do you have as much room as you want?
The plants will stretch and fight a bit for dominance but you should be able to tell the definate females and males before they flower out too fully. just cut down the ones your unsure of early and let the others thrive. (i know its tuff sometimes to do) If you want the best plants possible and you have room then definately spread them out. If your limited then there isnt anything severly damaging from putting them closer as they will get more room once you start thinning the herd so to speak.
