94 Watts x Hours a Day = A

A Hours / 1,000Kwh = B

B KWh x Days (31) = c

Multiply that number by what ever your company charges

6 in tall topped a few times. 3 weeks old. No room in my tent for 3-4 weeks. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!

With your height limitations you should keep them ALL in party cups to severely restrict their size. also 12/12 from seed is must as well for your grow area.

Looking at your plants, they are light deprived and will NOT yield anything significant under your current wattage........got to bump it up grower!!

more wattage means more heat, so prepare for that as well...........and get a circulation FAN in there asap!!

So that's on a 18/4 schedule?!

an if so we looking at approx. 8 bucks a months running t5 lights? then jus a few more the fans?

yeah that was 18/4. I think i read somewhere once that running a full 1000 watt system was like running your average $25 box space heater. Dont know how true that is.

Those small heater fans? Mine is 2000w, so it is more than true. But if you run it constantly you'll have quite the sweat room. (10min?)

Also, where would these qualify?

It's not the most used lighting around, and I can not really find a thread about it.
It's basically a tube folded in half. -length wise too, that is quite an advantage if you don't have 1.2 meters of space for a 54w. (Mine is 55w, 57cm)

Guess I might as well join the t5 club. Been using them for several years for both veg and finish.

Everything has it's advantages and drawbacks, but when all is said and done I'm quite content with my t5s :leaf:

I bought my 2 x 4 @ 8 bulb (432w) Quantum BB ~ 3 years ago. I wanted a bigger footprint than my ufo 90, which cost me $360: SUCKER!, but then LEDs were too expensive and not very advanced for growing mj.

For quality minded growers, the tubes lose too much output beyond 3 veges and 4 flower.

Quality bulbs are ~ $20+. When you factor in retubeing versus new LEDs, like A-51 with 2 x 3 foot print (~$600), I would not buy hot5s today. That said, I do get very good results with my hot5s

Anybody know to test bulbs actual output over time?

I'm thinking of doing this:
with t5 2' 8bulb

veg 18hrs
4x460nm (aquarium blue)
4x6500k (grow)

t5460nm.jpgLight.T5-HO_6500K.jpgchlorophyll.jpg

bloom 12hrs (maybe 16 or 14)
4x420nm (aquarium violet)
4x3000k (bloom)

t5420nm.jpgLight.T5-HO_3000K.jpgchlorophyll.jpg

if you take a look both bulbs i want to use for grow, they are high in the chlorophyll B response range
likewise both bulbs i want to use for bloom are high in the chlorophyll A range

i think i might be on to something

the aquarium bulbs complement the spectrum that already exists in the 380-500 range on the regular bulbs. 3000 and 6500 has been historically used for bloom and grow respectively. 3000 is tuned to chlorophyll A and 6500 is tuned to chlorophyll B. since the spectrum is choppy i'm using the aquarium bulbs to fill in the spectrum. i'm using both regular and aquarium since the aquarium bulbs have no reds which plants need to grow vertically, or so i think, we'll see. this will be under a 2'x2' ebb and flow with 5ml B.C. Boost 5ml B.C. Bloom 1g epsom salt per gallon. i'll be running beans (yes actual pinto) to make sure this thing works. this is all in a 4x4 tent with 176ish cmf exhaust & box fan. i got the tent turned upside down so the exhaust holes are on the top, i like it better that way. PICS... SOON

credit: all this comes from watching a video on this thread of someone getting the best growth i've seen with 420nm 3000k
some good ones on Youtube i found
