Hempy buckets
400 watt cool tubed hps
I am in the process of a retro into a
30 gallon notill
I would wish to use Quantom boards in this retrofit.
Should I get 400 watts of qb ??
Just one or more than one???

for your space of 16 x 36 https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/diy/products/260w-qb-led-kit would be a good fit 8 x 24.
or you could use the newer smaller boards in that space that do not require any heatsink

There's some new stuff coming out soon in a much neater more waterproof package from several companies if you have time to wait I would hold out for 2 months. It's Chinese new year now so no factories are shipping anything now.

That's cool I saw that growmau5 video but I imagine its really expensive and I don't believe in the 65k color choice growmau5 seemed skeptical as well. There's just some 5050 diodes and 3030 catching up to the lm561c. Also more lense options for those diodes and I think we will see some fluence Spyder clones coming on the market soonish. It's chinese new year now so all factories are closed. in a month when shipments start coming in I think there will be a lot more stuff.

has anyone ordered their qb boards off of alibaba or similar sites? For $135 u can get two 304 boards, Heastink, hlg 240 2100b driver, everything needed to make a light just like growerslights.com. Are these a waste of money or the same tech u get from preserving from growerslights.com?

Those are imitations. Genuine QB's come from HLG and their distributors. You have no guarantee what diode is actually being used in those.

Irrelevant. Many people have bought the Alibaba copies only to find they are populated with LM561B or something else entirely. Its called "bait and switch".

Thanks! It’s a 3’x3’ tent. I’m not quite sure how long it was vegged probably somewhere around 10 weeks. I’ll hold them in veg until I have room in flower by lopping branches off so sometimes they have a really long veg time.

Just about to order my 1st set of QB’s, want to replace my HPS lights. Going with a HLG-600H. Super excited.
