Clowning with Jacks 321

I have used hydro-gardens for years also and they are a good company, but I have a feeling the Flora Pro is a more refined product. Kinda like how Maxi Grow/Bloom are milled down to a finer powder than Hydro-Gardens bulk nutes. :peace:
Why would that matter if everything is water soluble?

Even more consistent nutrient blending when multiple elements are in the same bag.
Just turned up to 11 if you will
The instructions mentioned just mixing the largest batch you'll use in the next couple of weeks, which reduces the amount of work you're doing anyway.

Are you seeing any difference in results?

Haven't tried Flora Pro.

Anyone else notice that if you just keep adding epsom salt it does not "fix" the mag deficiency?
One day we will get an actual Nutrient Chemist to post on this and clear the air on what interaction is going on that is blocking the mag from being effective in solution.
There's a mix I have had lab tested that eliminated the mag issue and has very low mag in solution so I am 100% certain Epsom Salt is not really the answer that all of the led growers seek. :peace:

Buffering bagged canna coco has solved most of my cal/mag issues.
Along with feeding appropriate nute levels all thru the grow.

From the article.....

Growing in Un-Buffered Coco
Many growers are unaware of the need to buffer the coco and they try to grow plants in unbuffered coco. In unbuffered coco, the cation exchange sites will strip the nutrient solution of the Ca and Mg and replace those cations with Na and K. This creates a sub-optimal Nutrient Element Ratio (NER) and renders Ca and Mg unavailable to the plant.

Failing to buffer the coco is why so many growers suffer calcium deficiencies in coco grows. Manufacturers of prepared coco products try to exploit these problems and convince growers that only their proprietary products are suitable for growing. However, it is actually very simple to properly buffer your coco yourself. This tutorial walks you through the process and provides all the information you need to turn even the cheapest brick of dehydrated coco into a superior growing medium.

I don't blame coco for peoples problems.
Been using it since like 1999 with perfect success on vegetable crops and powder greenhouse fert (yes the compressed bricks too!)
We generally rehydrate the brick with a half strength or so nutrient solution and go to town. With proper runoff at each watering the coco becomes "buffered" real quick.
I do believe most people are feeding at the wrong ratio and wrong ec's with the wrong watering habits.
Looks like there is a trend with those in recirculating coco systems having much less issue. Probably cause they can see clearly what the ec is doing in the res and the coco is being flushed constantly :peace:

Ive seen the title of this journal numerous times and never once realized it was yours bro.

How are the DJM clones doing? you gonna run your room similar to how he does it? high temps and rh ?

Ive tried to follow his methods as close as i can, results are looking good so far. Glasses fog up when i walk in my space lol.. Hurricane force winds keep the bad shit away apparently lol

Clones are fat Teenagers now and doing great. They are happy with the jacks nutes so far.

No mercy on the lumens this run. Using my 5x vero cob @220watts in addition to the cmh. Also keeping Co2 @ 600ppm for the full run. (vs 1200)

Finally...
This is the last remaining 'clone' from my training.

Dumped it off on my Buddy at local hydro hut. They laughed...asked me if I was doing a solo cup challenge.
