Yes it is the industry’s first plasma grow light. Look at the light spectrum graph and prepare to be impressed. This light puts out lumens are comparable to a 600 Watt (manufacturer states 1000 Watt) HID using ONLY 288 watts! Simply Incredible! Be the first on the cutting edge of indoor technology and brag to your friends!
PlasmaGrow Frequently Asked Questions

How does the spectrum of the PlasmaGrow compare to that of a metal halide or high pressure sodium light?
Due to its very broad light spectrum, the PlasmaGrow light is like having the combined spectrums of a MH and HPS in one compact unit.

How bright is the Stray Light PlasmaGrow?
When positioned properly (about 8” from the plant canopy) it approximates the intensity of a 600 watt HPS and a 1000 watt MH. At maximum intensity the light will yield a 3’ x 3’ pattern. Similar to other lighting technologies, when you move the light further from the canopy the intensity will be less.

How much energy will I save with the PlasmaGrow?
The Stray Light PlasmaGrow draws only 288 watts and less than 3 amps on a 120V circuit. That’s over a 70% reduction in energy as compared to a 1000 watt metal halide! The energy consumption is less than 50% of a 600 watt high pressure sodium light. An additional benefit may be seen in energy savings due to a reduction in cooling costs.

How do I cool the Stray Light PlasmaGrow?
The PlasmaGrow light is very efficient at turning electrical energy into light so that little excess heat is generated. It is very likely even in a warm weather environment that no elaborate air exchange/cooling will be necessary for your greenhouse or indoor garden.

How long will the bulb last?
The PlasmaGrow light engine is rated to 30,000 hours. At 14 hours a day running 365 days a year you will enjoy 6 years or more of service free light. After 6 years the unit can be sent in for a new light engine costing about half of the original unit cost. The fixture may be recycled up to 3 times.

How close can I put the light to my plants?
The Stray Light PlasmaGrow generates very little heat, especially heat that radiates outward from the lens. To maximize the light intensity and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) light for your plants, positioning the lamp approximately 8” from the plant canopy is optimal. Some plant species are more or less tolerant to heat and adjustments may be necessary. Moving the light further away from the plant canopy will increase the footprint of the light but decreases the intensity of the PAR light.

Is the Stray Light PlasmaGrow light controllable?

Yes, by special order you can add a dimmable feature, PLC integration or even customize a solution to allow control through mobile devices. Please call for quotes and lead times.

Where can I buy the Stray Light PlasmaGrow light?

The Stray Light PlasmaGrow is distributed exclusively through Polar-Ray.com to retail grow shops throughout North America.

Does the Stray Light PlasmaGrow have any compliance certifications?
Yes, the fixture is both FCC compliant and UL listed.

Is the Stray Light PlasmaGrow light safe to use in a high humidity environment?
Yes, the fixture and power supply are “damp” rated for use in high humidity environments.

How much does the Stray Light PlasmaGrow weigh?
The PlasmaGrow weighs 19 pounds including power supply.

How long is the electrical cord to the lamp?
There is 7 feet of cord from the PlasmaGrow to the transformer and 11 feet from the transformer to the plug.

What is the warranty for the Stray Light PlasmaGrow?
The PlasmaGrow light carries a three year warranty.

With a spectrum like this who can put this shit down. ;)

Saw some of those plazma lights a while back. Wish I could afford one. They look like the shit, but haven't heard of anyone using them yet, probably cause of initial price. Love to see the results with these. subbed.

I was looking around for "the best of the best" LEDs i was looking at 1-2-3w leds and spectrum's when i came across a thread they were debating led issues when someone said toss in a plasma light... so i did some research and found this at www.monstergardens.com for $1200 now if you think about this... a $1200 dollar flat fee. No replacement bulbs 3-5 year warranty 40,000 hour bulb life and 100,000 hour internal life.... HID can not compare to that. Hid will cost you 1200 dollars before you know it!!!
Now they also sell "Light Tubes" they transfer light with reflectors and mirrors or some shit lol.... but 1 Plasma with a light tube will replace 6+ HID easily... just imagine 4 plasma with light rails over four 4x16 trays 4 wide 16 long....... the future is near my friends...
