closet grow Sensi Super Skunk seedlings help!

Hey There everyone I Just started my super skunk grow only 14 out of 20 germinated . The seedlings have been growing for about 12 days now in rockwool cubes under an aircooled 600w HPS

I placed the lamp 4 feet away from the seedlings but at about day 7 it seemed they were reaching for the light so i lowered it to 3 feet

Is 10,000 Lumens to much for these fragile babies or will it benefit them?

Also i am having a humidity issue..... from day 1-7 their humidity was about 30% i realized this was very very bad so i would mist them every chance i could and i bought a Humidifier at the hardware store. I Also turned off the Intake fan and the Exhaust fan. leaving only the small fan that cools the light for air exchange and the closet door cracked

they have very weak steams, are very slow growing. and are halfway fell over. I believe it was directly because of the dry air in their first days of life. With the humidifier going and everything off the humidity is still only 50%...... i must mist every hour or so to make it perfect.

I am definatly not underwatering. possibly overwatering.... but i try to only flood the tray when the rockwool feels 3/4th of the way dry. i flood with ph5.0 water room temperature and oxegenated with an air pump.

i keep the closet temperature a strict 75 F when the light is on and 65 F when it is off.


I am trying so hard to make them healthy and thriving but they appear to be weak and slow with only 1 set of true leaves. is the humidity issue the only thing i have to fix? because i will buy another humidifier if need be. what else can i do to help my babies!!!!! please tell me what i am doing wrong.

why PH of 5? why not 5.5-6, make sure you arent watering them too much, are roots coming out of the rockwool cube? I usually just let mine sit in a dome until roots pop out the cube then i put them in a system. Make sure they are draining properly and not sitting in water. You want the roots to look for water

I made the Ph in the res 5.0 cause the Ph in the rockwool itself is 6.0 when watered with 5.0 water i measured it with a syringe, yeah roots were showing out of the cube around day 10 so i put the little cubes in 6x6x6 cubes. the tray has nice drainage canals i water them about once every 3-4 days they dont drink very much water at all im thinking that is why the humidity is so low because they barely transpire
i wish i would have started them in a dome now, this is my 3rd attempt at growing and the first two times i used a humidity dome and when i removed the dome the first time the cubes dried up very fast and they all wilted the second time with the dome was more of a success but they were weak when i removed the dome. so i decided to try something different with my 3rd seed grow. and use no dome i regret it now

1000lumans is far too hot for a newbie if you have light movers and a good exaust fan then you could get away with it.but for seedlings you want the light to be has close has possible and i would go for a set of 6 cfl's get them near has possible till the plants have got a couple of sets of trueleaves.put a small container in the room this moisture will evaperate but the plants will pull in some of the moisture.then once the plants have got there true leaves put them under the 600 h.p.s have the fans blowing air onto the light and not the plants this will cool the light a little but you realy need a good exaust fan that will pull all the spent air and replace with fresh new air created by the co2.i would also put them under the 600 hps for 1 hour to start 2 hours the next day and if the plants are showing no stress from this get them has near has possible to the light.you could put them under the 600 hps now but all this will do is cause you to have leggy plants because you will have to have some height to the light,where has the flouresents you can have a close has a couple of ince at most.this will make the plants have far better tight internodes the closer each internode the larger the crop.but i would keep putting the plants in with the 600 hps every so often even if it's for harf hour.
