Closet grow help

I am going to start a closet grow but I am wondering what light to use and how much. The space is 2.5x3.5x5
it actually is taller about 8/9' so there is plenty of height. I do not have a way to pull in and push out air so I am looking for something low heat. Should I use HPS 250/400w, CFL's Probably around 1000w, or LED 300w, Or t5 setup with CFLs? I was thinking a can cutout a hole either into the attic or the ground for venting and exhausting air... Would that work? What size Fan and Carbon filter should I use? Smell isnt going to be too much of an issue as I have my own house Unless we get company which we typically do everyday at least a few minutes.

I have decided to go with HPS but I do not know if I should get the 250w or the 400w... They cost 3 dollars difference. I have little vent so Heat may or may not be a problem they both have air cool hoods to help. Any advice on which would be better for my space? Again space is aprox 2.5x3.5x6 The full closet is about 8/9' so I am thinking about plyboarding off the top half to run ventinlation through or possibly to attic have not decided that yet.
