Closet Box

Was thinking about making a Box that I can Fit in my closet. Im Thnking MAX Dems. L 24" H 50" D 18". Any Ideas? I was thinking Computer fans for intake and out take and im thinking of makng ether a carbon scrubber or a in line carbon filter not sure yet im really just been brainstorming and could really use some "Expert" Advice/Opinions. I Have a 400W HPS/HM but I wanted to lean more tword CFLs for Veg And I was thinking a screen of green but ive never done it lol but im gong to go search how to do it, Also when I sad i want opinions i mean on everything lol From Pots Soil and Ferts to Co2 and Odor control. Thanks and im sure i will learn a lot from this thread!

Edit: Also thinkng of ordering seeds from Attitude SeedBank. What areyour favs? and what are some short High yeilding strains?

I would just rock the closet and not in a box in the closet. Do you have a way to vent or just going thr the door into the room? I would use a min of a 4 inch fan for out and not worry about the intake as it will not be air tight. I do rec a osc fan. cfls work nicely for veg especially as you will not be vegging giant bushes. scrog will work nicely although watering can be a pain depending on the set up I recommend doing the half pipe setup to make the most of your space. I would use at least 2gal rose pots and whatever premium soil your local indoor carries. I prefer black gold organic omri as it is consistent but roots or ff work great too. I would use sannies or mandalas for your beans as they will give direct, quick, genetic specific support for your needs. good luck and happy grow!

it sounds like i'm in a similar situation as you. i've made an old dresser into a small grow box. i'm using 43cfm computer fans for intake and exhaust. originally i was considering having an extra fan ventilating my reflector and creating an in-line exhaust system, however a friend of mine had previously tried, and due to the suction, one of the fans ended up burning out. if you're considering computer fans, and are considering a carbon filter or scrubber, i would recommend a 43cfm intake and a 72cfm exhaust fan with the filter/scrubber on the inside of the cabinet pulling through the carbon. CFL's are perfect for veg, but don't provide sufficient output for flowering effectively. if you can cool your 400w hps/mh, it would be ideal to switch lights when you decide to change the light cycle and make the most of your flowering. as far as seed selection goes, find a strain that usually grows under 40", as even with a cooled 400w hps/mh, the closest you should keep the light to the canopy is 12", and height is definitely an issue in a 50" cabinet.

Okay so new Plans.. Thinking 54.5" H 18" D 18.5 W. Also i an rig a duct to my A/C if i have to to cool it if it gets too hot... Thinking about getting this done around the New Year. any more tips would be nice, im loving the input. ill look at some computer fans online and somee strains under that height. ill post back when i have made some decisions.

Could some one move this to the indoor growing stealth/cabnet section? Please?? i feel like i might get some more feed back.
