Closerto being done then should be?

So I am starting week 8 right now which would put this plant in week 5 of flowering..it is an Autoflower but since my wife and my son got my cards mixed up I dont know if its Candy Cane (7 week flower finish) or the Jack Herer (9 week flower to finish) and since I am a new grower Im not sure if I am closer to done then I think and if I should stop nutrients any ideas or tips would be greatly helpful.

Plenty of time left. You want those buds to swell and those hairs to recede.

Learn to judge/analyze the trichomes. They will tell you all you need to know. There are other indicators as mentioned. Hairs turning red and receding, bud swell, smell, leaves yellowing. Those all tell you to check the trichomes.

Im new to growing and this is my 1st grow...I do not have eye glass to use to check the trichomes as It was not high on my list and from what I understand plenty of other ways to know. My big worry is flushing too late or giving nutrients when it should just be water but seems my question has been answered.

There are other ways to know, but trichomes is can't fail. Especially if your new to it or want to harvest at a certain time if you want more of a head high or more of couch lock. They are a cheap investment and great to have. Especially for that dreaded day that you have pests and need to identify them. If you grow long enough you will have some sort of critter that likes your plants as much as you. Hopefully you will get lucky and wont but the odds are not in your favor.

I will order one asap and thank you for the input and I figured I could get by without one....live and learn and I've been fortunate for no pests to this point must because I'm in Alaska lol
