Hi, Is it true that when you cut a clone the mother plant will grow back two branches from where you made the cut?

Do you have to cut it right at the stem for this work? I was going to make a cutting about half way up a branch..

if you take it from the main stalk then yes, you can cut it anywhere the plant just thinks the branch was broken and will continue growing from the surround shoots, take cuttings were u bloody please just make sure you got a good 2 in and u clear the bottom leaves with a razor or sharp knife, good luck brotha

Auxillary growth points exist between each node so depending on wher you take the cutting it could cause branching just depends on there you take the cutting. I like to take my first cutting from the top to ensure more lateral branching for future cuttings:joint::peace:

Thanks for the info. I have attached a pic of my plant showing 2 possible points im planning on cutting. Can someone tell me what will happen to the plant in those two cases? I've also pointed out where i think buds have started growing. Am i correct? Thanks.

Hard to tell from your drawing new growth occurs from auxilliary growth points they look like little bud that are in between each node right where you have your buds? arrow pointing.

cut either place you have it on your pic and you'll have nothing. see where you have the word "buds" written ??? cut just above that point and those 2 growths below it on each side will grow into your 2 new "buds"
