Cloning

So I want to take a couple clones off my plants. Is there any other way of getting them to root without using clonex or any rooting hormone? Is there a "home-made" way out there?

honey is a natural rooting agent look it up
plus i had luck rooting with syrup or molasses one time
the key to cloning is when you put your bottom piece of stem into the soil or other medium, plant at least one node with it.
The bottom of the cut is not where root formation is
root formation comes from the nodes where the branches would normally grow

any particular strain you're trying to clone
I currently have 3 sweet deep grapefruit clones
and one started as a water clone sitting in water for 14 days
no root hormone needed
look up water cloning

You can root in plain water or directly in soil. Hormones are not necessary but they improve the success rate and speed things up a bit.

There is a homemade rooting tea that can be made from willow branches.

Do it. It may not work the first time but it's a skill you want to learn. Strip the leaves down to one medium sized pair so that the transpiration doesnt exceed what the stem can take up and cover with a humidity dome a soda bottle cut in half or a plastic bag. 10-14 days is typical.
