Cloning w/ dome - is my dome too wet?

Hey guys, this is my first attempt cloning with a dome, just wondering if this is too wet? I've read people saying to keep the humidity high but don't keep the environment too wet, but I can't seem to get the humidity high without completely soaking the walls.. humidity is 85% and temp is 77. Nah man in my personal experience you can have it completely fogged up with a small amount pooling on the bottom and still be fine, im about 95% success rate on cloning too. Use a heat mat if you can that really helped me a lot. Also on a side note I like to cut all the leaves back a good bit. It seems to make the plants have to work a little less hard at first and it helps me tell new growth from old growth.

Okay thanks a bunch! So do you think 85% rh is fine for Now? Or should I go add a bit more water to the tray? Also i have a heating mat, it just makes it around 85-90 in the dome, it isn't adjustable and my temps are usually around 75-78. Is that fine?

stop worrying about raising humidity, please.
my clones root in 35%-80% rh, 65-80f, no leaf mutilation, no heat mats, no misters.
water cubes when no longer moist to the touch.
put a meter inside the dome and stop guessing rh if you feel the need to know.
the longer you keep feeding leaves water..... the longer it takes for roots to seek the moisture.
leaf wounds, high humidity, high heat= mold, brace yourself

you're at the easiest stage, the very beginning of cultivation. your cuts look good. I imagine the thousands of questions and issues that could be answered and solved after reading one grow bible, even before your next step in growing. while you're waiting for these to root make a check list.

There is no question...you will need an air conditioner, dehumidifier, hid lights, fans, air scrubbers, timers, ph/ppm meter to avoid major garden issues.

Hot air inside meets cooled down from cold air outside, dome = condensation.

If the room temp is already optimal, just lift the tray off the ground so the air can get around the bottom too, and chuck the heating pad.

Okay awesome, sounds like I'm good because it's already lifted a bit from the brim of the table it's on, the tray is a bit bigger than the table so it's lifting it about a half inch. Thanks!

It's not that you are doing anything wrong, but you make the transition to lower RH harder on the plants down the line.
With the dome up and wet Rockwool cubes, it should be in the 90% in there anyway.

100% Normal to have fogged out domes. It will happens when temps inside are higher then outside the dome. Nothing to be concerned about..
