So, I’m looking to get set up for cloning. I currently have a 5x5 tent for flower and a 3x3 for veg. I have around $250-$300 to spend, not counting the light. I could really use suggestions, and another tent not out of the question but would have to be included in budget, but the light is not included in budget. Need to acquire before switching to flower, don’t have anything in flower so just vegging in flower tent. Appreciate the help in advance.

A mate of mine uses a cardboard box with a 20w cfl and a basic propagator. Sometimes he has 8-10 of these kicking round his house.

Point is it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

Probably best if you tell us how you grow, since setting up a simple tray and dome in coco wouldn't work well for someone who flowers in DWC .

Regardless

-You want low light levels
-temp controllable root zone

2 foot 4 bulb T5 cost 55 bucks on amazon
All the light you'll ever need
And for a cloner DIY is easy but I prefer manufactured as I need about 50 clones at a time
buy a small power cloner and it will still keep you in your budget
I keep mine above my laundry tub but it worked equally as well under the stairs
The best thing about an ezcloner is you can leave they clones in there long after they are rooted and when I switch to soil i can still use the light and cloner by placing the beer cups directly on the cloner
Light is about 2 feet above cloner

Cloneking or something that sounds like that on amazon for $100ish is good, you can make them cheaper but it's a pain in the ass trying to find a container that won't leak around the lid so you are better off just buying it. And you don't need anything special for light. If you have an old cfl in your basement you can use that.

Thanks everybody for the input. I grow in my garage, so I have a little space, plenty of power, and people that donate things to me, like the stuff for cloning once I pick it out. Was thinking of a small tent with a turbo cloner

Tons of options. You can literally clone in a cup of water on your windowsill if you want to.

Personally I just hang a shop light above a $6 humidity dome from walmart and I get nearly 100% success. If you want it hidden, pick up a decent sized rubbermaid plastic tote and cut some holes in it for lights to hang down into it. Something like the attached image but stick a dome in there instead of the cups.
