Cloning Questions?

Ok this is my very first cloning attempt they are currently 3 days old, I have done some reading on it but I still have a few questions.

What is the ideal temp for clones?

What is the minimum light in hrs that a clone needs or can take? Mine are in the same closet as my other plants (currently in veg 18/6) and I want to start flowering them (12/12), can I leave them in there (just until they root) with out hurting them or having them go into flower?

Also I have been told there are too many fan leafs on my clones, is this true? And if so, would it hurt them to cut them off now?

Take a look, any comments or suggestions are appreciated :mrgreen:

Tells about what you did. Did you use a root hormone ? Was the picture taken just minutes after that hit the soil ? They look amazing, even without hormone I bet you root a few.
 
Ok there are 3 clones from 4 plants 16 total (parents aren't sex yet), nothing special for soil just a little better than MG. As far as hormones, I used shultz take root (the only one sold locally), the pic's above were takin (day 3)
 
Thank you Stoner, I think they look good too, I just dont know if they have too many leafs or not or if I should move them or leave them till they root? maybe I'll just hold on flowing the parents till they root?
 
lol ras. i had that. took clones of all 5 of my plants and by the time they rooted the parents had shown sex (male). was so cheesed off.

Ribbet u can root them and go straight on to 12/12. but i don't think theres alot of sucess in cloning in soil. is doesn't hold anough oxygen 4 the roots so im told. rockwool cubes,perlite,vermiculite,fleximex rapid rooters, anything like this is better. Nongreen has a wicked step by step guide to cloning. honestly is amazing, along with his journal.

say it isnt so 'bud',j/k,ya,ive learned so much by my own anxiosness(if its a word?)for example today i almost took a clone from a plant 6week flowering,fucken stoners,lol,well im a cholo stoner,lol....peace,rascal

The closest hydro/grow shop for me is 3 hrs and I looked for day's in town for all of the above list item's with no luck so soil was my only option.
 
I've already read nongreen thumps thread, and probably tipped his scale a few times. I just had to make do with what I could get quick, online supplies will be for my next grow.
 
I've had a 100% success rate with a test run of 6 clones which I took and put each into a coffee cup of tap water with tinfoil over the top. Took 10 days to root.

Just clipped,

put into a bowl of water,

re-clipped under water @ 45* and held it there for 15-20 seconds.

dipped into rooting powder,

then placed into hole in center of the tinfoil covered cup of water.

placed under 24 hr floro light.
