Cloning Question

Hi, first time grower. Answered most of my questions by reading but have one that I have not seen asked. I only have room for four plants to grow right now. No place to keep a mother and clones. I am using feminized. Can I cut a couple clones of each of the four at the end of veg without any real damage when switching to flower? Or should I wait till I can afford another growbox to keep a mother for clippings?

Cutting clones when plants are on their way to flower is a great way to keep the strain going. That's what I do and it is fine. Cut your clones from the bottom of the plant cause it is closer to root hormones and the lower branches wont get much light anyway. Good luck grower!

I would go ahead and take the cuttings no problem. I agree with caveman I take them from the bottom too. But keep in mind that anytime you cut a branch off like that it does cause some stress I would only take like a couple from each plant. Look into another veg box in the future for your mamas like you said that way you can be on the safe side.

Peace

i don't think that is really accurate.

Cut from the TOP if you want to top your plants. cut from the bottom if you want more of a SCROG or SOG.

As long as you have a good technique and success with cloning, you don't need a mother. You can cut them right up to a week into flowering during the stretch period.
