cloning Q

so i fortunately was successful my first time cloning. i have 12 in a dome, the other day i took off the lid for an hour and when i came back a couple were all shriveled up so i misted them and covered and they came back to life. also the a/c was on.

so today i checked and they almost all have roots. their in one inch rockwool cubes.

1)when can take them out of the dome and get em in the dirt?
2)should i use a humidifier in their tent for the first week or so?

thanks guys.

alright i guess ill go to bed and wait for tomorrow. im hoping its ok to plant them now and get em out of the humidome.

I want my clones to have healthy roots and be about 8-10 inches tall. Keep them humid for awhile if they shriveled up. I would get them healthy then transplant.

I dont transplant mine tell they are rooted so much that you can barley see the cube. I use rapid rooters and they take me 8 days to see roots

well thanks for the replys! im glad i didnt jump the gun.

so now that i see roots do i do anything different? should i cover the roots so they dont see light?

No problem I'm just chillin not doing much!!

I wanna roll one but that would require going downstairs!!

well i only have about 40 days from cutting to 12/12 so i decided today at day 11 since cutting, to pot them and take em out of the dome. they all showed roots but a few barely had any and few had an abundance

it looks like i lost 2 out of 12. they are drooping real bad. they did that right after i pulled em outta the dome.

you can see the two dying ones in this pic. im misting them and the humidifier is on 80%. its about 83 at dirt level.

Here's a little trick to get them acclimated to not having the humidity dome to keep them alive. On day 3 from cut, take the dome off for 10 minutes. You will see some droop, but when you put it back on the will perk back up. Day 4 take it off for 20 minutes. Day 5 30 minutes+. And so on. By day 8-9 I have the dome completely off all of the time usually. Ive noticed this helps trigger them into rooting quicker. Lets them know that the dome isnt always ganna be there and that they need to get on their game and make roots.

Just my 2 cents.

hey thanks for that! i wish i did that ...this morning it seems like 2 or 3 are gonna die ...

just leave the domeon untill they are ready to transplant.. keep the inside of the dome very high in humidity.. you want the inside ofthe dome to sweat like hel. no need to take off the doom. i don't and get exalent results and roots in 6 to 8 days... i transplant mine about a week abter i see root comeing out the rock wool.

I don't use a dome. I spray them once every morning and some need another spray late in the day. But no dome since day one and they are all fine. Don't spoil them, who likes brats? They never GROW UP...;-)
