cloning plants or scrog... which one to do?!?

i'd just like to say im using a 300w cfl and that im set up now, however its just occurred to me that i'd need some way of increasing the amount i grow without increasing the amount's of lights i own. i may buy one more set of lamps however im using cfl's and would love to maximize my grow, i want a perpetual grow at about 1 oz a week as that's as much as i smoke. so i've been thinking ... i've been using rubber bands to tie my branches down... that needs to stop. Im going to increase vedge time and properly maximize the amount of light space available as it's only about 3 foot squared.
thus im down to 2 options.
1 widely popular scrog which i see in many home grows and useful to maximize lighting areas in a "U" shape around my light, (in which case i'd buy another couple of cfl's to clip onto my reflector to make it a bit wider.)
2 making about 9 plants (clones see foot note) growing them about 6 inches to a foot tall and flowering them. making sure that my base is curved to make the plants lean into the light. that way i'll get 9 main colas every couple of months on a rota and with my vedge room i could double that.

anyway if anyone know's how to get an ounce a week i'd be great full

(foot note: i'd cut the clones, and it'd add about a week onto my grow time, however i'd buy a couple of cfl's for this. )

Well you need mothers to use clones or live in a legal state where you can buy clones. A mother means another light setup.

The good thing about mothers and perpetual harvests is you can clip some clones. Put em under fluoros and 2 weeks later bring em right to flower, no veg time. Then start another batch of clones. And so on. In about 2 months time you should have your first batch ready and 4 more batches ready for every 2 weeks.

You could end up with an oz to oz and half each plant done this way every 2 weeks.

IMO i think CFLs are a waste. If you want speed go with an HPS. Any kind of fluoro or LED is going to grow your plant much slower than an HID light. And if you're scrogging prepare for even slower veg times even with MH, scrogging with cfl sounds like a novel.

Rhyspect, scrogging with a cfl is not a novel! Actually if you could acquire any T5 light (a 2x2ft or 2x4ft) or any size, preferably get one exactly the size of your scrog... Because they spread light perfectly even, their light footprint is exactly as big as the fixture, and they produce 50,000 (yes 50,000) lumens just 2in from the bulbs. They dont produce much heat so they can be placed right above your scrog and move up inch by inch as your screen fills up. They have 6500k bulbs for veg, AND 3000k bulbs for flower. they are really energy efficient too... i could go on and on. AND YES A T5 IS A Compact FLuorescent.
