Cloning in a Cup of Water

Yup she will make roots long as u keep her watered like i said earlier in the thread id change the water out every couple days so it doesnt stagnate.. Thats assumeing that the cuts dont drink it all up first.. But yea cup of water technique is too easy and very effective.

I see u have rooters in there too scroga with those its best to allow them to dry out a bit before watering or it will slow the root makeing progress down considerably or stagnate the rooter itself.I water my rapid rooters with no more than 15ml of water a day keeping in mind i have my rooters in a dome with it cracked to allow for sufficient air exchange.. Thats the trick with rooters u want to manipulate those roots outta the rooters to search for water dont be afraid to just keep the rooters damp and see how quick u get roots in them..

Theres an air stone directly under em, I'll pull em out...how do you minimize stretch with the seedlings under cfls apart from keeping lights as close as possible....

In my dwc i start all my seedlings off with the cfl 4-6 inches away and just let them grow into it then gradually lift them up from there. I dont use my tray and dome for seedlings it allows for way to much stretch.

Aside from keeping the lights close or using a stronger light farther away there aren't really many ways to reduce seedling stretch. I personally use a light "boxing" regime with my young seedlings to help toughen them up. Just lightly brush them side to side with your finger tip. Almost like you're beating them up VERY LIGHTLY. Couple times a day helps to toughen up the young stalk which can somewhat cut back stretching.

If you check out the link in my signature the 4th post shows a video example of what I'm talking about. I also like to turn the daily. They reach to the light then turn them to face away so that they have to bend back towards the light.

What kind of light u vegging ur babies with scroga.. Like said the only real way to keep stretch at a minimum is to get ur lamp as close as possible if its a small low wattage cfl then u could prolly start off at 3 or 4 inches just really all depends on lighting. U could put a small fan blowing a snmall breeze in there too not blowing on the seedlings just enough breeze to keep the fans moveing sligthly and u could turn them like hemp said. Once u get familiar u will get it down proper. A small fan will help toughen up the stalk even if u do get a little stretch tho.

Yea man with those lil cfls i start my beans about 3-4 inches from the topps of my beanlings and leave it like so till they grow up to about a 1-2 inch buffer which then i just raise accordingly as the beans grow maintaining my 1-2 inch buffer at all times..

U should be able to veg and keep a nice lil stout plant following that plan.

What kinda system u growing in scroga? Dirt, Dwc, Coco etc?

My current grow is in the Dwc subsection threads titled Homemade Rdwc if u have any questions on it feel free to ask away i was gonna take a few pix today and break down the rest of veg pad like my nursery clone tray and veggy tub its not really much of a journal without it..
Far as a nutrawand never heard of it but yea u really do need to have a ph and ppm checker if u really wanna achieve maximum results only a few simple rules to follow and ur all set.

Sweet as cheers mate! Yeah I've got one of those el cheapo yellow ones from ebay on order...been waiting since november...fukers! lucky I was gifted the ppm meter..,i gave my auto a squirt of pk13/14 the other day, and she hasn't responded too well..yellowin up, dropping leaves left right n centre...checked her with the new wand and it gave me a reading of 3.6? Not sure ...im new to the meters so I didn't know what this meant but I knew it wasnt good coz of the way my girl was shedding skin...so I dumped a quarter tank and topped up with water and misted her down with tap water...after I topped up again tonight shes reading 2.4 ....do you think I should dump the whole rez and just put her in water for a bit? Cheers dl

If ur talking about an ec/ppm meter than yes 3.6 is really high i cant remember the conversion but i know its really high on ppm i can tell u i hear most autos are kinda sensitive so u prolly locked her up pk of 13/14 is also quite strong man most of those bloom boosters do more harm than good unfortunetly the ony time ive really ever actually burned a plant is with bloom boosters.. I cant say for sure why dont u go post some pix in ur journal so we can check it out im sure if i cant help ya someone should be able to.
