Cloning branches? Or tops???

Can you take clones from branches, or do you only take clones by topping the plant?? Im really confused... Quick answers would help a lot!

You can take clones from anywhere you like just not leaves. I accidentally snapped a branch of my outside girl it only had 2 nodes and rooted fine.

4 Nodes isn't even necessary. I've cloned just fine with 1-2 nodes...it just takes longer to root them. The true key is that you need a growth tip in order to clone...on mine, the growth tip looks like it's dead for awhile, then will respawn a new one (or in one case mine shot 2 growth tips out the sides of the dead one)

i love it when they do that. for a while mine kept tristing up at the top and would throw out 4-6 tops. wish i could recreat that.

As long as it's a branch or a top with one set of leaves you can root it.
